Fisherman's Cottage Reviews

The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating from the start and first impressions of the property were that it was clean, tidy and the kitchen well equipped. The bed was comfortable, and despite being an older stone building, everywhere was plenty warm enough. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub at the end of each day. The hot tub was clean and checked throughout our stay. The cottage is in a very peaceful location with a lovely walk through the surrounding woodland. We have enjoyed visiting the beach most days with only a short drive 2025mins away penbryn Plenty of other beaches and areas to explore, all listed in an information pack at the cottage. Lovely pub not far away Daffodil Inn, for a little treat! This was our first visit to Wales and if we return will definitely be booking the Fishermans Cottage again.

What an amazing stay! We were greeted on arrival and the cottage was easy to find thanks to the detailed information on the booking. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Its in a great location for walks and visits to other areas and beaches. The hot tub was clean and an added bonus to our stay. The owners were so accommodating and welcoming. We were able to purchase more wood for the fire easily and bought some fresh eggs their chickens had laid. Our daughter was in her element when she was able to help feed the lamb and chickens too. An incredibly detailed information booklet in the cottage helped us plan our few days there too. Thank you for a great stay.

Alison
Lovely little property, really peaceful, pretty location, but within reach of all sorts of attractions. Very comfortable, with added attraction of hot tub
What a lovely cottage, perfect for exploring the coast line of this stunning part of the world. Cottage has been renovated to a really high standard and has everything you need for a week away in Wales. Kitchen fitted out with everything you need, including a dishwasher to save all those arguments of who is washing up. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of walking or swimming in the sea. Relax, sit back and look at the stars. Very dog friendly too, including a Woodland Trust forest behind the cottage to walk your furry friends. Will be back.
Michelle
Compact and bijoux, the cottage spotless and provided everything we needed. Just the right size for three of us. The hot tub was much enjoyed by my son and the owners were very friendly and accommodating regarding the departure time, making for a relaxing stay.
What can I say. From booking to arrival and finishing our break away, everything was exactly as stated on the website. The cottage was brilliant. The hosts were brilliant. Our break away was brilliant. Thank you very much.

Shelley
Beautiful cottage, stunning surroundings & lovely hosts. We had an amazing weeks stay with our 2 dogs, we didnt want to come home. Cant recommend fishermans cottage enough! Will defiantly be booking again. Thank you guys.
The cottage itself has been renovated to a high standard and is warm, cosy and welcoming with a lovely wood burning stove which we used every night. It has everthing you need including little extras like washing up liquid, salt, pepper, tea, coffe, sugar, milk and a beautiful welsh cake and fresh flowers which was a special touch. Paul his wife and daughter were fantastic hosts and made our stay really special by inviting us to feed the lambs, stroke the horse and collect eggs which made my autistic sons holiday. Llandysul is a lovely town and has some great little gift shops, cafes pubs and a great stained glass artist shop. We ventured to New Quay which a stunning seaside town and we would definitely recommend The Fisherman's Cottage to other people looking for a short break with excellent facilities including the hottub. Thanks Tracy, Keiron and Caleb.

A fabulous little cottage. Hosts were lovely. You can tell a lot of effort has gone into making this a perfect getaway. Inside is lovely and done out to a high standard. The downstairs in open plan and is spacious and has everything you can need. Hot tub was clean and they check the levels to ensure it is in good condition Location is perfect, whether you want to explore inland, beaches or just chill in the hot tub. Hoping to go back again soon
Heather
The property itself was nice and clean with everything you need. The downside was we were woken up each morning about 5am with the noise of the cockerels just across from our bedroom window. A few days after we went into the hot tub our 12yo son was sick and developed a rash all over his body. A day later his dad also developed a rash. We had mentioned to the owners that the water level was low, ie below the filter but it was never topped up. We had to get medical attention who confirmed it was Pseudomonas Folliculitis a bacterial infection caused by the quality of the water in the hot tub. When we informed the owners, we didn't get an apology. Not very impressed.
Just back from a lovely few days at Fisherman's Cottage. What a gorgeous little find to spend New year sat in the hot tub watching the stars. Brilliant location with country walks right on your doorstep but also within easy reach of Newquay and Tenby. We will definitely be back. Thankyou!!
Lovely place to go and travel from. Made to feel welcome
Fabulous stay lovely comfortable cottage will be back
George
Beautifully appointed cottage, and wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts. We had a superb stay in this lovely peaceful area.
Just finished a fantastic 3 nights at this cottage. Cant say enough how lovely the cottage was with fantastic scenery surrounding. The cottage itself is really well kept, spacious and everything I would hope for. The owners were exceptional, we arrived late and they were waiting for us to guide us up the road and made us a cup of coffee to make sure we settled in. Overall I couldn't recommend this property more thank you for a great 3 nights stay
