Glan Towyn Reviews

Nicola
An amazing holiday home with beautiful views. The hosts provided everything you can ever think of at hand to make our stay comfortable. A family of 9 adults, 3 children who thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend. Thank you.
We had such a lovely stay at Glan Towyn and honestly didnt want to leave. The accommodation has been finished to such a high standard but still feels cosy and welcoming. The layout is fantastic and everything you could possibly need is there, with all the modern amenities to make sure your stay easy and comfortable. The location is amazing. The beach is 100 yards away which was perfect for coastal walks. The views of Snowdonia from the balcony are incredible, especially in the morning and evening. Emma and Dan are obviously passionate about this beautiful house and making sure their guests have the best stay possible. You can tell a lot and love and care has gone into every detail. We had a brilliant time and would definitely stay here again.
Kathryn
We had a lovely stay. The house is in a lovely location with amazing views. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, large sitting room with space for all 11 of us. We had an issue that the EV charger did not work, the owner was very responsive when we got in touch and tried to resolve it but despite their best efforts this remained unavailable. This had an impact because we then had to plan our days around finding alternative charging options which are few and far between we had deliberately booked a property that offered EV charging so it was disappointing that this wasn't possible.
Graham
This was our 5th visit to this fantastic property for a multigenerational family holiday. Its setting so close to the sea, fabulous views, great walks plus only being 5 minutes walk to the pub just works for us. The house is so beautifully presented with great facilities. Will definitely be returning!!
Sandra
A beautiful house in an amazing position by the beach. Beautifully maintained lots of rooms for our family of 12. A great entertaining space for a family celebration. Our grandchildren loved the beach, sea, hot tub and games room. The White Eagle pub just up the hill is lovely. Just one small point it would be good if there was more stock of basic items such as dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, bin liners and washing machine tablets.
Absolutely fantastic house and fabulous facilities, so close to a beautiful beach and a great pub
Raymond
Without doubt, the best property we have ever stayed in. The location is superb and every aspect of the house had been so well planned and contributed to what was a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable break for all of us. As a family of 11, ages ranging from 11 to 82, there was something for everybody. There was a slight hiccough on arrival as the owner hadn't been notified of our bed configuration request, but this was very quickly and efficiently resolved and we all had a great time. We'll definitely be back.
Stella
Fabulous property, absolutely stunning. Great location and fabulous birds around the reed beds.
Robert
Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at this amazing property. We loved the decor, the views and the wonderful feeling of being so close to the sea. We made good use of all the facilities including the BBQ, the games room, the kayaks and the paddleboards. We really appreciated the little extras such as the goody bag on arrival, a really nice touch, the full coffee jar ready for use in the superb coffee machine and the charcoal for the BBQ. In short, a wonderful property and a superb location resulted in a brilliant weekend. Finally, we look forward to using your property at some point in the near future.

Glan Towyn is a lovely house with beautiful views. A lovely welcome pack to greet us, this house has everything you want and more, its very well equipped, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you might need and we made use of the hot tub, kayaks and paddle boards, we didnt want to go home!
A fantastic property, amazing interior, styles, furniture and. ..well...everything. It is perfectly positioned for the beach and situated in a wonderful area. We loved it so much, we plan to go again next year! Definitely one of the best properties we have stayed in. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Cheryl
Beautiful holiday home in a stunning setting.
A fabulous house with gorgeous views from many of the beautifully decorated rooms. The William Morris designs are fabulous. Wellequipped kitchen, lots of seating areas inside and out including 3 balconies. Thank you to the owners who have created a thoughtful, highend, holiday home for us to enjoy. Very much appreciated. We had a lot of fun in the games room. We enjoyed lovely coastal walks and a bracing paddle in the sea a very short walk from the house. Enjoyed hearing and seeing the birds every day. It was such a peaceful, relaxing week we returned home feeling invigorated and perhaps keen to add a William Morris design or two to our home...
Graham
What a fabulous house for our large family getaway. This was our 4th visit to Glan Towyn. Fabulous location, less than a minutes walk to the beach with glorious views from the upstairs living areasbalconies over the sea. Lovely coastal walks on our doorstep. Beautifully decorated with fantastic kitchendining area that allowed all 12 of us plus baby in high chair to sit down to meals together. Large family lounge, and a smaller snug lounge downstairs amongst the bedrooms that allowed separate group activities. The games room and hot tub were well used too. All of this plus a great pub a 5 minutes walk away. !
Yvonne
Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful William Morris. What more can I say?! What an amazing house! A great week spent with family and friends x
Everything for everyone from grannie with cosy chairs, roaring fire, great views and ground floor bedrooms to teenagers with a games room, water sports equipment, hot tub and easy beach access. The local walks are absolutely beautiful. Angelsey Fine Foods delivered excellent meats and Tesco provided the rest. We had no need or desire to use the car for the whole week! The house is stunning. Beautifully furnished, clean and well equipped. We felt the owners really cared about us having a good time. Simply perfect!
Our group of 8 are just back from a 3night stay at Glan Towyn and we can't speak highly enough of it. The pictures on the site are great, but really don't do the location justice. The views are stunning and the design of the property certainly makes the most of them. It's incredibly well stocked equipped the kitchen pretty much has everything you need to cook up a storm and keep everyone well fed. We also made use of the paddle boards, kayak and games room over the course of the weekend. Everyone had a ball and we'd certainly recommend this place without hesitation. Thanks for having us!
Delyth
We had a fabulous family stay in August and were so lucky with sunny days. The house is so spacious and beautifully styled. Sports equipment were good on site and the location to the beach is superb. Hot tub was clean and warm and the garden area was brilliant for cricket! We booked a private chef for two nights and had a good quality BBQ and fabulous local produce meal on another. We will definitely re book in 2025!
It was such a beautiful property. 12 family members and friends came with a range of ages from 28 to 80 and the house suited everyone. We go away to self catering properties at least 4 times a year and have done for over 20 years. This was by far the best for comfort, maintenance and was equipped with everything you could think of. It was lovely how much thought and care had gone into making the property as perfect as it can be.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location and proximity to the beach and lovely coastal walks was great. The house itself was beautiful and comfortable and accommodated a mixed generation family really well. Kids loved the games room also used as a very peaceful yoga studio when no kids on it!! and the hottub and garden. Fabulous! Thank you for having us, we will definitely recommend.
Absolutely beautiful property. Perfect. We had a fabulous holiday. Thank you.
Graham
This is our 3rd visit to Glan Towyn for a large family get together. As always the house worked extremely well for us. Beautifully decorated and obviously lots of thought into the design and furnishings to make a lovely experience for visitors. Huge kitchendiner area with fantastic views over the sea. All the necessary cooking, crockery and cutlery required to cope with large scale food preparation and dining. Large sitting areas that allowed different groups to play games, watch TV or just to chill without interrupting each other. Even a small study area which allowed some of our group to do some work in peace and quiet. Being February could not use all the outdoor facilities, but was able to use one of the balconies on a few occasions and the hot tub was well used! Located within short walking distance of the beach and to a pub. What more do you want! Once again a great visit!
Stuart
Wow, what an amazing way to celebrate turning 50. The house is perfect in every way. Long coastal walks, the hot tub, table tennis tournaments, log fires! Glan Towyn will always hold such very special memories. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful coastal retreat.
Angela
House was beautiful with views that took your breath away. We were a large family celebrating an 80th birthday and the property provided space and plenty of choice with a very popular games room which the grandchildren enjoyed.Just a short walk to the sea where several unspoilt small beaches could be accessed at low tide.Wonderful holiday.
Claire
What a wonderful house! We have had the best week at Glan Towyn. The house and facilities are perfect all 12 of us 3 generations were so comfortable. The decor and furnishings are aspirational it is all SO well curated. The games room and outside areas were perfect for the children and the adults really appreciated the 4 sitting rooms to choose from with plenty of sofas and armchairs to go around. The 3 balconies were well used to take advantage of the beautiful views. The amazing kitchen is so well stocked and has a huge island unit and dining table to allow us to eat together. We didnt explore much of the local area by car as we didnt need to we swam in the sea every morning, warmed up in the hot tub, went for lovely coastal walks, visited the local pub and even saw seals in Rhoscolyn bay. We christened the house the HHOD Holiday House of Dreams and it really has ruined us for the future. I dont think we could stay anywhere better. At the end of the week we left as firm fans of William Morris and even bigger fans of Rhoscolyn. A magical place.
Fantastic property in a great location by the beach. Top quality specifications throughout.
Loretta
An amazing property with every guest and eventuality catered for, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Perfectly proportioned for my family group ranging from 8 to 69! So close to the beautiful beach as well perfect for the kids and dogs! Being city dwellers the single track lane was the only downside and hence why Ive given it a 810 as a recommendation, but for people who are used to them kinds of roads Id say 10 out of 10! A lovely long weekend living a very luxurious life
We have just had the most amazing week ever staying in this property. I have stayed in lots of sykes cottages and this is the best so far. In addition to the hot tub, sauna and games room, you have a minutes walk max to the beach, option to lay on the sun loungers or play cricket in the garden or read on the balconies. A bonus was the short walk to the pub where the food was delicious. Our family will take back the most incredible memories whilst celebrating my Sons 30th birthday. Thank you Emma and the team.
Glan Towyn was the absolute perfect place for our 40th birthday celebration week. The property itself is gorgeous and so uniquely decorated, with such thought and care and good quality, well maintained furniture. The kitchendining room has such beautiful views out of the massive windows, and we spent a lot of time on the balcony when we were in the house. It is a short walk to a quiet beach, and the provision of wetsuits and paddleboards, kayak and other beach and garden items was an absolute bonus as it meant we got to try things that we wouldn't have normally. The hot tub was lovely and clean, as was the sauna and bbq. It also has a charge point for EV vehicles which was a great bonus for my brother as he didn't have to hunt down somewhere to charge. We loved having a games room too this was right up my families street. The White Eagle up the road was a great pubplace to eat. The guidance in the property was also really useful for looking into other places to go. There are really nice walks from the property too. Word of warning the lane to the property is single track and tight. You get used to it, but be aware if you have a giant car although we had 2 4WD and a small motorhome and were ok In summary, it is a beautiful place and area that we didn't want to leave, and wish we could return to again and again.
Just superb!
A fabulous house in a great loaction, we loved our stay and did not want to come home, 11 people in our party from aged 80 to aged 6 and we all had a fantastic time, the house is fully equipped with eveything you could need and more.
Excellence in location and facilities contributed to a memorable weekend celebrating a significant birthday.
5 stars... !!! our party of 12 aging from 1590 Loved it.. Fantastic location, fantastic facilities. The pictures on the website do not do the house justice.. Well worth every penny.. Thank you Kathryn
Heather
Fabulous holiday. Worked so well for all 3families. Facilities were amazing. Think we had a go at everything. Early morning walks on the beach were incredible. We were so lucky with the weather. The house was so homely. You felt you could relax there, even with four children and dogs. You have thought of everything. Excellent, thank you. We hope to be back next year.
Carole
We have stayed here twice now both times March and Ive only now realised I havent left feedback! The second time we stayed here we felt like we had come home. Its the most beautiful holiday home. It feels so special yet not precious. I love the fact I can be on the beach at 7am with my dogs and not another soul around. The coastal walks around are stunning. The White Eagle up the road is great for dogs and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The welcome packages weve received on arrival are always so appreciated and I was excited for it the second time round after not expecting it the first time! Its a wonderful base for seeing other areas of Anglesey, though the second time we mainly stayed in the house and on the beach. When talking to shop owners and walkers, they know Glan Towyn well! Its a bit of local legend! And so deserves to be. I know we will be back. The attention to detail hasnt been matched anywhere else! Were actually looking to buy our own holiday home on the island after being inspired by Glan Towyn in both its location, facilities and style. But Im sure well be back many times before then!
Graham
Our second visit to Glan Towyn. Did not disappoint! What a great house for a big family group. Lots of room, very well equipped to cope with a house full, beautifully furnished and decorated, great viewsand a lovely pub only a five minute walk away. Beach even closer!
Nicola
Absolutely amazing house, as good as it looks in the pictures. Stunningly decorated, with everything you need. Beautiful view of the sea with lovely walks at our fingertips. I celebrated my 50th birthday and staying at the house is something I will remember for a long time.
Louise
The house had everything and more. We made full use of the hot tub, sauna , kayak and paddle boards. The games room was a bonus we enjoyed a family table tennis tournament! The bedrooms are all very comfy and the whole house is beautifully furnished. We will definitely come again.
This is our second visit and certainly didnt disappoint. The location is exceptional being a stones throw from the beautiful bay. The house is a lovely family home and very comfortable. The games room and hot tub a must. We will be back.
