Perfect , comfortable & clean cottage with absolutely everything you need. Bedrooms are a great size & the hot tub was amazing .local walks on the door step & settle village in walking distance Perfect location
Absolutely lovely place. Good toilet rolls even & very well laid out. Just a shame I came down with cold & the weather was horrific. X

Stayed 2 nights in June with my sisters. The bottle of prosecco as a welcome gift was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The property was just as pictured. Really cosy and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you could need, even an air fryer! The beds were so comfy I could have slept for days! Also it is really quiet. The hot tub is fantastic and plenty of plastic glasses for taking drinks outside. It does say towels provided but only one each so could have done with taking separate towelsrobe for when using the hot tub. They did have flip flops for use though! The outside area was a little sun trap for us! We walked Pen Y Ghent which was a short drive away from the retreat. Just a few mins walk into the lovely little village of Settle. Would definitely come back we had such a good stay here.

The property was well equipped, especially the kitchen. The hot tub was clean. The bedrooms needed a deep clean dust behind the bedside tables, the bedrooms smelt, we never let our dog in the bedrooms as requested, however dogs had been in there, the carpet in the large back bedroom was stained. The very busy main road was noisy, and we had to be careful of our 10 month old dog not getting out he has no road sense. My mother couldn't sleep the front bedroom was so hot she couldn't have the window open because of the traffic noises. We left a day early on Thursday 25th June at 7am. Disappointed
Excellent week at Ramblers Retreat, ideal base for the Dales. Great cottage has everything we needed for a comfortable stay plus the hot tub. The owners really helpful with their information and contact ensuring everything was ok. Many thanks.
Great property. Really good size, and a lovely building and great location. Didn't find the bed comfy. Mattress way too soft and woke up with a bad back. Also the bedsheets were a bit like the spare room at someone's house. Personally I think hotel type, white linen, with maybe a single colour folded top sheet runner would be more neutral and classy. Great instructions, everything as described. Very helpful host.
What a fantastic place! Ramblers Retreat has just about everything that you need. It is one of the most comfortable and well equipped cottages that I've stayed in. The owners have clearly thought about the guest experience when designing and furnishing the place, which shines through when staying here The beds are super comfy the shower is hot and strong the whole place was clean and tidy and the owners are very proactive in keeping you updated as well as recommending any local spots for food. The cottage is also very strategically located. It is on the edge of Settle, meaning there are plenty of ammenities nearby without being caught in the noise of the town. However, the cottage is situated next to a road, so I wouldn't be surprised if guests in the roadside facing bedroom were distributed by traffic. This wasn't a problem for us since the master bedroom is on the far side of the property. I would definitely come back to this cottage!

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location! Walking distance to Settle. Clean and well equipped. Hot tub was fab! Loved everything about this property.
Wonderful property well appointed and cozy and warm. Hot tub was great after long dog walks and the bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a really nice touch. Will definitely return located superbly for local shops and pubs with some wonderful walks on the doorstep and nearby dont Miss out on Malham Cove
Great cottage, some lovely quirky touches such as the outside VIP seating area! Great hot tub. Well decorated, nice furnishings, very comfortable. Good to see an abundance of crockery rather than the usual 4 cups4 plates4 bowls etc! Excellent location. Quiet area. Cannot fault anything.
Christopher
Perfect weekend we really enjoyed the area and the cottage
House and location to town were ideal. We had everything we needed and the bottle of fizz on arrival was a lovely touch as were the dog treats. We loved having our own bit of garden too. The road to the front is very noisy though with trucks charging past at all hours so having the window open at night was not possible and in the heatwave it did get very hot. . The digging at the quarry was also noisy from the back all day but as we were out most of the time it didnt bother us too much. I would definitely recommend this house though and recommend the area of Settle to those who like to go out exploring.
Great cottage in a fab location. Everything you need and really comfy bed. We did a lot of big walks including all the 3 peaks so it was great to rest our legs in the great hot tub after walks. Good dog friendly pubs for food and drink in Settle and Giggleswick. Beautiful scenery around. Definitely recommend
What a delightful property. Full of character and charm. Hot tub was lovely big and warm. all instructions were clear and concise. I like to cook when im away, and the kitchen was great with all the appliances. Sofa and beds very comfy and the log fire easy to use. town 5 mins down the road and you are nearly slap bang in the middle of the country as well. looking ay my diary when to return !!!!

Lovely cottage within walking distance to Settle and Giggleswick. Comfy bed and well equipped kitchen. Lots of good walks nearby.
Stunning cottage which is superbly equipped in a fantastic location. It is warm and cosy. Easily the best cottage we have stayed in. Will definitely return.
We loved this cottage. We have booked again for next year, The cottage itself is spacious and inviting. We got very cosy watching Netflix, after some of the most beautiful walks. A lovely river walk from the door and some a short drive away. The furthest we drove was 20 minutes. The kitchen has a double air frier, which was amazing I wont be taking mine next year. Spacious living room, comfy chairs and a a smart tv. Theres loads of books too. Some lovely little things, such as a basket of dog blankets, dog treats, the bedrooms are comfy and cosy. The hot tub was so good, set in a very nice garden area with a shielded space for the hot tub so you can enjoy it in peace. Theres a short walk, even shorter drive into the town centre, where theres shops, a chippy and a small coop. Also an Asda petrol station, where Amazon parcels can be delivered, if you forget anything A wonderful week away looking forward to going back.
Excellent accommodation. Very well maintained and the owner was very helpful. I would recommend this property for a relaxed stay. Excellent
This was our second stay here and it didnt disappoint. Chris was really helpful on our arrival due to the snow and did everything he could to make our journey easy. The cottage is really comfortable and very well equipped I cant think of anything to add that would improve the experience. Although we didnt use the hot tub this time, it is a real plus for the cottage.
Absolutely loved the cottage. Great communication from the owner before we arrived and then checked everything was ok once we were settled. Everything has been thought about, dog treats, dog blankets, stair gates, Alexa!! Even Christmas decorations. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen was so well equipped. Bed was comfy. We would definitely return.
What can I say? ! This place was just perfect. We arrived a couple of days before Christmas and it was decorated with a tree etc which was lovely. The owner had also left a card, a bottle of mulled wine and Prosecco too as well as milk, tea, coffee etc. We were instantly chilled and relaxed. The cottage itself is great. Very clean everywhere with supplies of dishwasher tablets etc and some cleaning products if needed. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and fluffy towels provided too. The kitchen is very well equipped which was great as I cooked a full Christmas dinner. We were very cozy as the heating is easy to use plus we used the log burner too which was so nice especially Christmas night. There was a small supply of logs to get you started but we had brought some with us. The hot tub is just sublime. We spent a lot of time using it with our music playing on the outside speaker also provided. The garden is nice and secluded so we didnt feel like we were a nuisance to anyone by being outside at nighttime. The owner also left flip flops to use but we had taken our own. There are so many lovely, homely touches that make the place extra special. The day before we arrived the owner called to see if we had any questions and he texted soon after our arrival to make sure all was ok. We stayed for 5 days and were sorry to leave. It really was the most magical Christmas in a beautiful place. Thank you.
Andrew
Beautiful cottage with all mod cons inside, lovely and warm and comfortable. Hot Tub is a huge plus within a lovely enclosed stone garden. Highly Recommend!
We had a lovely stay at Ramblers Retreat, thank you! Everything was great from the bottle of fizz that was there on arrival, to the travel cot that was assembled for our little one The hot tub is a must as well! Thanks again, we hope to be back at some point
Absolutely lovely Ramblers Retreat for a quiet break away , The cottage was comfortable and clean and the living area upstairs was comfortable for relaxing with everything you need in the kitchen . Plenty of nearby walks of various lengths, short walk to the village even found a short cut After a day out walking there is nothing better than relaxing in the hot tub . All in all a 5 star getaway and perfect for having a chilled break .
William
What a great little cottage every thing you need for a holiday the hot tub was a bonus just loved it
Darren
Loved the Ramblers Retreat. Perfect location, fantastic for the dogs, hot tub a real plus after long walks in the dales, cant think of anything that we didn't like, cant wait to return
Claire
Comfortable cottage with all the home comforts. Fabulous hot tub and enclosed patio area. Secure so no escape for Fur Babies. Great for a relaxing stay and to be used as a base for exploring.
We had the best stay at ramblers retreat, perfect location from shops and pubs, and perfect walks. The cottage had everything we needed and the secure garden was perfect for us having 2 young children and a dog. We all had the best time.
Lovely cottage with excellent facilities. The hot tub was a bonus at the end of the day. The location good, only short walk into Settle town centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Had a great week at Ramblers Retreat. Well maintained property with lots of space for a family of four. Loads of fantastic walks in close proximity to the house and the hot tub was a real bonus. Would be good if one of the beds was a twin instead, as would work better for families. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to be close to all of the sites in the Dales.
Rodney
Nice property, a lot of money spent getting it in good order. Poorly described by Sykes, missing essential safety features. On a busy road with heavy traffic at peak times. Accessed from side gate with several steps down to the hot tub, then several steps up to the door and then staircase up to living area. Having said that, once inside it is very, very comfortable and a good spot to tour the Dales.
Robert
Very comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Beds super comfortable. Hot tub perfect for after a long walk! Cottage is finished to a high standard and very homely. Just a ten minute walk into the town for shops and places to eat. Garden small but totally secure for dogs.
Rachel
Weve just had a two night stay while participating in the three peaks challenge. The cottage was beautiful and we loved it!!! Everything you could possibly need, clean, well kept, stylish and very cute. Hot tub was a lovely bonus too! Close to the village and a 5 min walk to shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes etc. Excellent location. Owner was fab too very helpful and nothing is too much trouble a lovely welcome on arrival too!! Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.
Amazing location and cottage plenty of things to do in surrounding areas too. The cottage had practically everything you could possibly think of and all the little touchs to make it homely would definitely stay there again
A very well presented cottage, well thought out to provide a lovely stay. Pleasant bedrooms downstairs, and a delightful kitchen and living room upstairs. Plenty of room for two adults, two large teenage boys, and two greyhounds to stay. Great hot tub too. We enjoyed the welcome prosecco, and the friendly owner was immediately in touch to check we had arrived okay and all was well.
Lovely cottage with great facilities. Very friendly and attentive owner in that they made sure we were happy and that if we had any questions or queries then to calltext them.
