Tbh I was a little bit disappointed after visiting a couple of years ago. Just little things like bits dropping off tap in kitchen sink and the same on both showers. Nothing major its just when paying top whack you dont expect that to happen

Could do with a little lick of paint here and their mattress on bed could do ... Could do with a little lick of paint here and their mattress on bed could do with being replaced but overall a lovely little cottage
Such a comfortable cottage in the most amazing location. The cottage has everything you could need, is spacious and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The cottage is on the edge of the reservoir and the walk around it is not to be missed. Roughly a 2 hour easy going walk with beautiful views. Lovely nearby towns to visit such as Grassington, Skipton and a super tearoom in Hebden. A truly wonderful place that we will definitely return to.
Duncan
We had a lovely stay at snave cottage. It was very spacious and comfortable. The only negative was that there wasnt a door from the lounge into the courtyard which meant that the dogs came straight into the carpeted bedroom from outside
Natasha
Absolutely amazing place, what dreams are made of Accommodation ... Absolutely amazing place, what dreams are made of Accommodation outstanding Jerry is a fantastic Host, nothing is too much trouble
Snave Cottage was everything we could have hoped for & more! A perfect place for a weeks rest and reset. It really feels like home away from home with the added bonus of the hot tub! The views across the reservoir are stunning and the location of the cottage is so private it feels like your own little escape. Also the most dog friendly place weve ever stayed. Thank you for the most perfect week, We cant wait to stay at Snave Barn for our next visit as we know it will be just as perfect as Snave Cottage!
We had a wonderful stay at Snave Cottage and couldnt have asked for a better place to spend part of the Christmas holidays. Jerry, the host, is awesome and was there to welcome us on arrival, making sure everything was ready for us, including the hot tub hot and ready to get into. He was always also on hand and quick to help whenever we messaged with a question. The location is stunning. We enjoyed a walk around the reservoir, which was beautiful even with patches of mist rolling in. It was so peaceful. The kids loved having time to properly relax, play games, and just enjoy being together it really is a proper switchoff spot. The barn itself is cosy and welcoming, with a lovely fire, an openplan kitchen, and a real sense of togetherness. The panoramic views are amazing, and our two house cats they come everywhere were more than happy spying on the birds from the windows. The TV allows easy use to log in to all your home apps such as Netflix, Disney Plus, iplayer, Prime, Spotify etc. The Scandi hot tub was a real highlight of the property and an absolute hit with our two kids they loved it. We all did, be it a morning dip after breakfast, a warm up after a long walk or an evening dip with a couple of drinks. Although you feel snug and secluded, amenities arent far away at all. The nearest superstore is Morrisons, about half an hour away, which is a lovely drive in itself. The nearest village is just over 15 minutes away and has a great choice of lovely pubs, so youre never far from what you need. The property is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Everything felt fresh and cared for, with clean bedding, fresh towels, and a wellequipped kitchen. We were also really touched by the thoughtful extras bread, butter, bacon, milk, and even a bottle of bubbles waiting for us. The Christmas decorations were a lovely surprise too, including a beautiful Christmas tree, which Overall, Snave Cottage is a special place and a perfect countryside retreat. We would happily return and highly recommend it. 10.
A beautiful cottage set in stunning surroundings. Everything is immaculate with unique design all top quality. The wood burning hot tub is so relaxing much appreciated and found it so much more kinder to skin than the chemical hot tubs. Will definitely be looking for wood hot tubs frim now on. The log burner in the cottage was fantastic and so relaxing to sit and enjoy on a cold evening. These properties hosts are excellent. The property manager Jerry was there if we needed anything and was happy to help. Winnie our little dog never wants to leave. This was my third visit and we booked again for Christmas 2026 in Skyfell another Christmas l will be looking forward it was the best Christmas we had in Snave cottage.
Stayed in this phenomenal cottage, such a hidden gem. Very clean and comfortable, walks straight from the door, beautiful views in all directions. Jerry is very accommodating, and friendly and nothing is a bother. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the near future
Cheryl
Another lovely stay at Snave Cottage, have stayed in both the barn and the cottage and both as just as lovely. Having direct access to the courtyard is useful with the dog. The cottage itself is well equipped, cosy but with everything you could need. Beds a super comfortable too. The walks straight out of the front door are great for those who love the outdoors. Had some wild weather, but with the fire lit, you dont mind Would definitely recommend
A fantastic cottage in a brilliant and unique location. Many thanks to Jerry for looking after us.
The cottage is stunning . The walks from the cottage is a wow factor. We really enjoyed our stay . Jerry very helpful and knowledgeable in regard to the area .
We had a lovely stay. Perfect location, quiet with terrific views and wild life. Jerry the ownercaretaker was a really nice guy, very helpful indeed. What a gem of a place.

Idyllic quiet location with panoramic views of the reservoir with an abundance of wildlife combined with impressive sun sets. The cottage was comfortable and well appointed. Jerry was very helpful and ever present, arrival telephone call to check all was well.
An amazing place overlooking the reservoir, the cottage was extremely comfortable and Jerry was superb in assisting us with any queries we had. Ideal location to get to places alongside being greeted daily by baby pheasants, geese and a deer.
Lovely relaxing short break, the cottage was beautiful and in an idyllic location, very peaceful. Welcome hamper was a much appreciated surprise. Jerry is a real nice guy and was very helpful setting everything up and explaining everything we needed to know. One of the best short breaks we have had, will definitely be coming back.
Richard
This is our 5th visit to Snave Cottage and as always we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay. The availability of the office and the wifi meant that I was able to work remotely very effectively and raises the possibility of us booking for 4 weeks next year. As always Jerry was very welcoming and helpful, especially with resolving my error regarding dates! We will definitely be back next year and wholeheartedly recommend the Grimwith cottages as a vacation destination!
Michael
Beautiful cottage in a wonderful peaceful, relaxing location in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. A much appreciated welcome hamper, which exceeded anything we have had before and we all enjoyed. Hot tub a lovely addition to the cottage and fire pit for our bbq. Gerry is a very friendly, helpful accommodating host.
This is a wonderful property in a fantastic location. Jerry was a great host and made sure our stay was perfect. The hot tub was heated pre arrival and there was plenty of wood for the hot tub and the stove. The 4 mile walk around the reservoir was one of the highlights for us and our terrier! Lots of wildlife on the doorstep including deer. Skipton is approximately 30 minutes away and Pately Bridge is around a 15 minutes drive. Would definitely recommend if you want to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Very good. Perfect for the kids and the dog.

Fabulous stay, a truly relaxing place to visit. Beautiful views and walks straight from the door, which the dogs loved especially. Facilities are lovely, hot tub ready when we arrived and felt very looked after by Jerry. Our second visit but wont be the last

I have visited Grimwith on many occasions, its a great area to walk in. On this occasion I managed to stay at Snave Cottage. I really enjoyed my stay it is a wonderful place. This is a great base from which to explore the area that offers fabulous hiking opportunities. Lets try and keep it a secrete!
Justin
This is the second time we have stayed in the Cottage and love it. Great space with great views. We actually ventured into the hottub this time, which once Jerry Facilities Manager showd us how to light the burner, we found really easy and more than warm enough to enjoy in the February climate. We even had to add some cold water to it. The location on the reservoir is great for peace, quiet and relaxing. Grassington is only 10 mins away providing excellent walks, shops and pubs.. Fish and Chip was pretty good too. We'll happily visit Snave Cottage again in the future.
Daniel
This place was stunning. Couldnt have been better. Its set in the most beautiful place. Went with 2 children and 2 dogs and we all had an amazing time! So peaceful and relaxing. Cant wait to go back!! Amazing!!!
Absolutely amazing place to stay! We came for my 40th Birthday weekend and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Jerry was very helpful! The cottage itself has everything you need. It is spacious whilst also feeling cosy. The location is breathtaking! So much nearby to go and visit. I just wish we stayed longer! We will definitely be back again! Thank you!
Lovely stay at Snave Cottage! Beautiful area! We will be back with some family, perhaps at Skyfell next time. Owner was really accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend a stay here.
We have had a wonderful stay in Snave Cottage. It has been an experience we would love to repeat, totally secluded and very relaxing. Our two fur babies have enjoyed the wilderness also. The cottage is very comfortable, cosy and well equipped with a lovely ambience. The hamper on arrival was a very welcome touch which included doggie treats. Jerry made us feel very welcome and was always on hand when we needed any assistance. His knowledge of the cottage and local area added to our experience. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
Our second visit to Grimwith Holiday cottages. Firs time was just in Skyfell with 7 of us, this time 11 of us had Skyfell and Snave cottage for New years week. Both are absolutely gorgeous properties in and amazing locations. Jerry was a great help and quickly and promptly helped with any queries. Will definitely visit again! Thank you for an amazing holiday!

Lovely holiday spot. Great surroundings, ample space and a very nice accommodation Fantastic scenic walks and some lovely places to eat within a short drive. Highly recommended
The standard of everything is excellent, which made for a wonderful stay. We met Gerry who was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the history. Amazing welcome pack which was much appreciated We had an excellent nights sleep in super comfy beds. It is so peaceful and calm with stunning views overlooking the reservoir and beyond. Have already booked for next year.
This is a delightful cottage in a stunning and semiisolated location. It's perfect for friends and families or as a romantic retreat. I took my dad there for a few days and my sisters joined us for a night. I was blownaway by the whole place, as were my family members. The welcome pack was really excellent and meant we could stay in and get ourselves settled comfortably before going out and exploring. Our host, Jerry, was lovely. We really did want for nothing. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Snave Cottage is a delight, it is just like the photos. Incredibly tasteful, cosy and well equipped. The location is breathtaking, instantly lifts your spirits. Jerry is super attentive, has great local knowledge, and very encouraging of our dogs having the best stay too and enjoying themselves on the many walking options. Grassington is the closest village for provisions, 10 mins by car, and plenty of dog friendly pubs serving food either until 1400, or all day, could have stayed another 4 days!!!
Absolutely fantastic stay. The cottage is brilliant throughout, wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Great location if you want a break away from the stresses of modern life. Accommodation was perfect, wanting for nothing on the comfort side. Totally isolated & tranquil. Looking to book another break at Grimworth in the future.
Rebecca
We had beautiful stay at Snave cottage, very homely. The views over the Grimwith Reservoir were amazing, you wont find anything else like this! Jerry was excellent when we arrived making us feel very welcome. Thank you! The welcome hamper an arrival was a lovey touch and the hot tub was an added bonus which Jerry ensured was ready for us each day! Thank you for a peaceful & tranquil weekend. Rebecca, Joey, Frankie & Margo x
We booked all 3 properties together for a getaway with friends and had the best stay on Grimwith Reservoir. The properties themselves were spotless on arrival, and exactly as described on the listing. Jerry was very helpful and always on hand if we had any questions or wanted advice, and also got the hot tubs nice and hot for our arrival. We had everything we needed already there meaning we only had to bring clothes, food and drink, and the welcome hamper was also a nice touch. The location itself is amazing with a nice walking route around the reservoir and also longer routes to nearby villages where we found some great local pubs, shops and takeaways. This is my second time visiting this property and definitely wont be the last. It really does cater for all and cannot recommend it enough!
The cottage has a shared courtyard with the other properties so be mindful if you have a dog that is nervous with other dogs as they will see each other. A very lovely peaceful place to stay and very comfortable. Very relaxing, a big sky to look at, fresh air and quiet. Jerry the caretaker is so lovely we had a vole in the bathroom when we arrived and he helped us very quick dont leave the front door open when you are in the hot tub as thats maybe how it got in! Super friendly people wherever you go.
