Brook Farm Reviews

Mathew
We really liked this property. Its in a great location, and the path at the back of the house leads straight to some lovely walks cricket pitch at the very top is well worth a walk up to, with horses everywhere, which made it feel unique. The house is full of character. The dcor and maintenance are a little eclectic, and we had some initial reservations when we arrived, but it quickly grew on us. By the end of the week, wed completely fallen for its charm and quirky personality. The garden is also a lovely place to relax and unwind after a day out exploring. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
A lovely place to meet up with family and friends the hot tub is a great addition to the holiday.
Had a great week at Brooks Farm. Period property with all the quirks youd expect! Modern kitchen which was full of all the gadgets you may need. Lovely big dining table for shared dinners and games. We had a cold snap and heating worked a treat. I dont feel the lounge is big enough for the amount of guests it sleeps, we were 4 adults and we struggled as we wanted cosy nights in! Sarah is a great host, always at the end of the phone even though we only called on her once, she checked on us as weather was freezing and wanted to know we were warm enough!! Great location for forest walks and the local beaches!
The property is an older style and well stocked. It is in a great location, the moors and horses are right on its doorstep. The hot tub was a lovely extra addition. Sarah was a great host and went the extra mile when our dog got missing. We had a great time!

Brook Farm is a charming, quirky old house that instantly felt like home we absolutely loved our stay. From our very first conversation with the owner to the moment we left, we felt truly welcomed and wrapped in warmth. The house had everything we needed and more. We stayed here in the week leading up to our daughters wedding, and it provided the perfect base for such a special occasion. We were made to feel incredibly welcome throughout, and the hot tub was a delightful bonus we enjoyed it every single day! We would thoroughly recommend Brook Farm to anyone looking for a warm, characterful place to stay it was a truly memorable experience.

Really enjoyed a comfortable week here. Really comfortable house, lovely garden and well equipped kitchen. Walks and great cycling from the door. Washing facilities for bike gear really useful with a great drying cupboard. Sarah was a great host with good communication throughout our stay. Hot tub was also lovely and a great way to relax after our walks and rides. Would definitely come back to explore more of the cycling in the area.
Super host , very helpful, polite and attentive to the day to day chores , ie the hot tub, towel supply etc. Lovely cake and bubbly on arrival . Setting is stunning , great walks from the property and easy access to Ringwood, and the beaches at Christchurch and Boscombe. New Forest ponies on the doorstep the children loved it all .

What a beautiful location right on the edge of an area of the Forest with ponies wandering past the gate. The house has everything you need and feels welcoming and homely. The kitchen is very well equipped and easily catered for the group of 6 that we were. The hot tub was a lovely extra. Some things are a little tired but it doesnt matter at all in this characterful and charming house. Thank you to the owners for a lovely stay.
This was a delightful property with the New Forest literally at the front door. We had to make sure the gate to the property was closed, otherwise the wild ponies would get into the garden! The hot tub was hugely popular with the grandchildren. A lovely and welcoming touch was the Dorset Apple Cake and a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on our arrival. With many lovely places just an easy drive away and walks on the doorstep, for those who love nature, then this is the place to stay.
Was a great location nice old farmhouse with wood burning stove and hot tub which added to our enjoyment plenty to see and do locally would definitely recommend enjoyed the ponies being so close. Thanks for the warm welcome.
The owner, Sarah, was very welcoming. We were greeted with a gorgeous apple cake, bottle of Prosecco and milk in the fridge! Property is well stocked with everything you need, even down to toiletries, cleaning products, condiments etc. The hot tub was a bonus and enjoyed by all.
Philip
We six of us loved our Christmas week in this individual and very homely property. It was more generously equipped than any other house we have rented before and Sarah could not have been more kind or helpful. The hot tub was greatly appreciated by the younger members of the party and the landscape setting even in poor weather was lovely.
We received a warm welcome from Sarah. Felt very comfortable in her home. So many things there that we did not expect sauces, cleaning, products, tea towels. Comfy beds, lovely and warm. Great for dogs, secure garden. Fantastic hot tub. Lovely being together with my family all in the same place. Highly recommend.
Lovely family cottage lots of space and every thing you need for a perfect holiday, owner friendly and very helpful, set in a beautiful peaceful place perfect for wild life fanatics, Hot tub a bonus Over all a lovely relaxing holiday.
Michael
Beautiful location and a relaxing holiday
Louise
We had an excellent time at Brook Farm. Sarah met us at the property and went through the house keeping, very friendly host who was on hand for any queries. 8 of us stayed comfortably and explored the local area on a daily basis. All facilities were of a high standard with the double banisters and walk in shower a great addition for the less able members of the group. The family room and double room have a joining door which worked well for us and gave the rest of the group a bit of space. Despite the warm weather the wood burning stove was put to use and soon heats the whole place up! The property is quirky and Sarah has plans for its development. Lots of things locally to explore too so was ideal for the dogs and children, recommend visiting Moors Valley if you stay. Just disappointed we never got to see the local deer!
Jacqueline
Such a lovely weekend. Thank you. Beautiful, character filled , well equipped comfortable home, with a great garden and hot tub. So quiet and peaceful with wonderful walks. Hoping to return next month.
Had a lovely family holiday at Brook Farm. The house is full of character being over 100 years old, including some modern luxuries. Lovely outdoor space, comfortable areas inside for day and night. The house is well equipped and Sarah was a lovely host.
Michael
We had a wonderful relaxing stay and the host Sarah was very welcoming and helpful. A bottle of Prosecco and an Apple Cake where a lovely touch. If you want immaculate dcor, check in to a Hilton. Brook Farm is a beautiful old house, full of character, in an idyllic location. Ponies, Cows and Deer regularly appear right at the gate. Views in every direction are amazing. A fantastic base for exploring everything the New Forest has to offer, and we would gladly return.
