No.6 At Sunset Lodge Reviews

Lovely lodge with a homely feel and all the necessities needed for a relaxing week , the hot tub is an added bonus
Veronica
Accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped. It was exactly right for the 6 of us. The owners were very helpful with a small problem that we had and it was sorted immediately. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and would definitely stay there again.
We booked the lodge just to be able to unwind from our busy lifestyle, it didnt disappoint. The lodge itself was clean and comfortable, the surroundings were calm and peaceful. The hot tub was an added bonus, although the weather was so nice we only used it later on an evening. The Prosecco chilling in the fridge was a lovely touch. The owners kept in touch throughout the stay, would definitely recommend and return.
The lodge was spotlessly clean, fitted out to a very high standard for a lodge and was decorated very well. Ideally situated to provide some privacy especially when using the hot tub it was a minutes walk to the fishing lake. This was very well stocked with roach, bream and carp up to 20 lb which provided many hours of entertainment. Adjacent to a golf course, nature reserve and a boating lake , with many pubs and cafes close by, Sunset lodge provided a wonderful weeks break for for family three bedrooms meant we had theee generations of the family with us.

Excellent lodge. Super clean with lots of lovely little extras including Easter chocolate, prosecco and poo bags for the dog. Great amenities and underfloor heating keeps it warm. Hot tub is fab and great when cold outside. Fitted 6 of us in. Literally has everything you need down to ice cubes in the freezer. Would nit hesitate to recommend.

Absoloutly lovely property, clean lovely host definitely booking again
The lodge was spacious, warm and had everything you needed in it. The hot tub was an added bonus which we all loved. The lodge has a fantastic location and whilst there we visited Lincoln, walking and cycling around the local villages. Vicki was a great host and was very approachable and contactable. Would definitely recommend

Well equipped lovely lodge enjoyed our week very peaceful. The owners even put a Christmas tree and decoration up for us which I thought was a lovely touch. Welcome hamper was nice even a selection box and gift for our grandson
The property was lovely and clean. It was well equipped everything we needed for our stay. It snowed while we was there but we was nice and cosy inside. Beds are comfortable. Hot tub is a lovely bonus. Welcome tray and Prosecco was appreciated. This was our 3rd stay here and will be returning in the future. Thankyou.

The log cabin was extremely clean and tidy on our arrival and was well equipped with everything you need for a home from home. I really enjoyed my stay here at sunset lodge and I will definitely be coming back. Location was perfect for us and it was so quiet on site. Cant wait to book this again. I will recommend this lodge to anyone and I will be coming back again. Also Vicki and Andy were very welcoming when we arrived and everything I need was only a message away. Perfect host.

I would like to start with the good reviews first. The Lodge was perfect with very good comments in the visitors book. All conveniences were catered for. The owner was a lovely lady and pleasant to talk to. Now for the not so good. The Lodge was not heated sufficiently for November. We looked in the information book to see if we could change it. The only thing we found was a statement that it was heated to a correct temperature for comfort so need not be altered. The main bedroom never reached over 18 It was a good job we brought thick clothes. I always take throws away and they came in handy. Further the quilt on the bed was very light for the time of year and no extra blankets provided. Again my throws came in handy. I want to end on a lighter note, despite my comments. would we come again! definitely. But perhaps not so late in the year. Dorothy
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful lodge, we had everything we needed & would definitely recommend it.
Great lodge with everything that is needed. Fabulous hot tub great for relaxing of an evening. Owners very helpful with requested information re fishing on site and bus stop. Bus stop within walking distance ss is local pub. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending to others.
The lodge had EVERTHING you could possibly need, the hot tub fantastic. The location was perfect for our family holiday as rest and relaxation was what was needed, so many places to explore locally or further afield.
Lovely clean well equipped lodge. Great hot tub. Beautiful location.

This property is one of the best I've been too in the UK . The lodge is beautifully decorated and the owners have covered everything you would need for a self catering holiday .We were fortunate enough to meet the owners while we were there and nothing is too much trouble for them and a small issue we had was sorted promptly .The lake is small but well stocked with rudd, roach, and decent size carp and plenty of swims to choose from .There are shops ,pub and restaurants and takeaways a short walk or 510 mins drive away.If your looking for a quiet relaxing holiday this place is perfect.Highly recommended
Adrian
Fantastic property. the owners were on top of everything and help us through a couple of glitches when the hot tub tripped out. cant wait to go back.
Shirley

We enjoyed a lovely family break at this fabulous lodge
Michelle
Lovely place to stay. Amenities were great so easy to use. Owners kept in touch. Would recommend to others. We would stay there again. Hot tub was great. Not enough radiators. Is the only downside but wasnt a major issue.
Corrine
Wonderful property. The owners had thought of everything so even if we had forgotten something, it was there. The property was very clean and tidy. It was lovely and warm and very homely. The owners we fantastic, they contacted us with lots of information and were extremely helpful and always available if needed. Overall, lovely property and a lovely environment. We had a lovely and rested time. We would certainly go back again.
Louise
The cabin was clean , tidy and well stocked. The owner engaged with me before and during our stay. The site is much smaller than the info would suggest with the ' lake' being more if a pond and the cabins are closer together than they look in the photos. I was however disappointed with the reaction from the owner when the shower in the main bathroom was broken . The owner did respond quickly but was unable to fix it during our stay. I was dismayed that her texted response to me was that the bath still functioned! Unfortunately 1 of the guests with mobility issues could get into a bath but would not have been able to get out. True, there was an ensuite but using it felt like encroaching on the private space of other guests Luckily we were a group of very good and established friends. We had a great time.
Steven
Very responsive owner. Accurate description. Fantastic location. Fishing great. Will definitely return in the future. Highly recommended.
Samantha
We had a fabulous week in a fantastic lodge, clean and well equipped. it had a lovely feel it was like home from home but without all the hustle and bustle of home. The hot tub was a great added bonus. We were looking for a quiet rest and relaxing week and we found exactly that from this lodge. The owners of the Lodge should be proud of themselves and their standards are above and beyond.
Absolutely amazing everything was so well orangised. Home from home comfort. I would say only downside was the cabin was not on the lake as we first thought but that was our error for not checking that out. Did not cause any problems as lake was a short walk away. Again brilliant cabin everything and more catered for. Highly recommended 5 star
Fantastic lodge, well equipped, very clean and presented in a wonderful modern chic way. Safe plot for kids to run about outdoors, this was our first staycation and we loved it!
A perfect holiday with family, the lodge was comfortable and very well equipped down to the last detail, everything perfect apart from the weather! But that cant be helped
Kathleen
Lovely modern lodge on beautiful well kept site. The lodge has everything you could possibly want or need. It is extremely well equipped and the comfort and cleanliness are excellent. Will be recommending to friends and family.
Pauline
Lovely clean and comfortable lodge. Ideal if you need quiet and peaceful location. The bonus of the fishing lake was another asset. Only a few minutes drive away we found several places to eat out. All in all it had everything we needed with various places to visit in the area. The owners Vicki and Andy were available by phone if needed.
A perfect place to stay clean, comfortable and in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. The location was great with shops and pubs in close proximity for supplies and eating out. We especially liked the little cafe at the nearby golf centre and used the driving range we visited. Both Doddington Hallcafe and Whisby Garden Centre are also well worth a visit too. We loved the hot tub and were really happy that the sun made an appearance several times during our stay so we could indulge ourselves with a glass of prosecco whilst relaxing in it! We would definitely recommend Sunset Lodge if you're looking for a relaxing break and will return in the future.
Perfect lodge for a reunion as it has a big open plan living area and comfortable bedrooms. The location is great as its very easy to get to, tranquil but also close into the amenities of Lincoln and surrounding villages. The property was clean with everything you could possibly need, including plastic glasses for a drink in the hot tub! The price was also great value for such a lovely stay. A great place which Id highly recommend, thanks for being so accommodating and letting us stay at your property!
Loved staying here, great lodge, has everything you need. The lodge is very comfortable and clean. The hot tub is great and very nice after a long day fishing or exploring the local area. Very pleased with everything in the lodge and can't make any complaints.
Pamela
The property was very clean & had good facilities & well maintained. Comfortable throughout & the hot tub was a real treat, as was the bottle of prosseco in fridge! Close to sightseeing places & amenities & would love to return to explore area more. Being on one level a real bonus for elderly parents too. Contact with owner on arrival was good to talk through any further queries. Definitely would recommend to family & friends.
Patricia
Super warm clean cosy lodge with everything you would need. Boys enjoyed the fishing and caught plenty. Lovely small site very peaceful. Hot tub was a big hit too. Would definitely recommend!
We had a very enjoyable Christmas stay. The owners made it extra special by decorating The Lodge for the Christmas period. The kitchen was well stocked and we had no problem cooking Christmas dinner for 6...and other meals too. The hot tub was a delight and the owners were very attentive. We would definitely recommend Sunset Lodge.
Property was immaculate and so well equipped, comfy beds and lots of home comforts.
Joanne
The lodge was great, lovely and clean and the bottle of Prosecco on arrival was appreciated. Plenty of space for 6 adults to sit comfortably in the evening on the sofas. When the next lodge is occupied, it may benefit from a privacy screen by the hot tub else you will be able to see each other in close proximity whilst using the hot tub.
As a group of 5 ladies seeking a chilled out weekend away we found the lodge perfect in every way. Everything had been thought about, well stocked kitchen utensils and crockery, lovely fresh decoration throughout and comfy beds! It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We all agreed it felt like a home from home with the extra treat of a hot tub which was well used during our short stay. Perfect location for us near the nature reserve and a great pub. The bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge was a lovely touch. Would definitely return and highly recommend.
PERFECT!! Our only regret was, we only had a week . wish it could have been longer. Will certainly try to book this again.
The lodge was beautiful and is in a great spot with lots of places to visit nearby. It was very well presented and had everything we needed. The hot tub was an added bonus which was lovely to relax in at the end of the day.
