Lansdowne Lodge Reviews

Clean and wellequipped property. Nice grounds with a hot tub and lovely large fish pond. Tesco supermarket directly opposite. Some road noise when your in the garden but not an issue inside the property. Overall we were satisfied with our short break here.
Valinda
Lovely, comfortable well equipped lodge, set in beautiful private surroundings. Safe and secluded garden for your fur babies. Hosts were very friendly and left Us a welcome bottle of Prosecco and box of biscuits enjoyed by all. Great base for walks, or nearby Lincoln, Cleethorpes Skegness ect , or just a really relaxing , refreshing holiday at the Lodge with the hot tub and watching the amazing fish in the pond. Would definitely recommend this property and its Owners .
Jacqueline
Perfect place with everything you need
Sandra
A lovely property I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a secluded and well equipped lodge which was immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived and it was well equipped in the kitchen. Having two on suite bathrooms was a bonus also a lovely hot tub outside. Shopping was easy as there is a Tesco's nearby with a fuel station. It was dog friendly with a nice small secluded garden fenced off all round for security. Before arrival the owner emailed all the information we needed to access the property and directions which was very helpful, we would definitely book to come here again in the future.

We had a lovely week at Lansdowne Lodge. It had everything we needed and was perfect for our elderly dog. It is all on one level and carpeted so he didn't slip. The accommodation was scrupulously clean throughout. Everything was very comfortable and everything we could need was there. We didn't meet the owners but they are just next door if they are needed. Communication with them beforehand was great and included everything we needed to know. The garden is large, fully enclosed and very private. Ideal for reactive or nervous dogs. The fish pond is lovely to sit and watch the fish. We also loved the very large hot tub which is well maintained and very clean. The only one comment we would pass on to the owners is the lack of comfy garden furniture. There are 2 picnic tables plus a small table and 2 plastic chairs but no sun loungers or comfy seats. It wasn't a problem for us as the weather was rubbish but if we were there in the summer I would be disappointed not to have a sun lounger to lie out on and read my book. We would definitely recommend this Lodge and will hopefully visit again ourselves.
Lovely private & quiet property. Lovely to have a gated grass area for the dogs to play, but to keep them just on the patio area when were relaxing in the hot tub. A good spot to visit coastal area & beaches, plenty of walks. Property had everything we needed, comfortable stay and hope to use again.
Upon arrival we found we could not get the heating to work, so we had to ring the contact details left for us. I was told the boiler would need the pressure increasing, which I did with a bit of difficulty and instructions on the phone. It then took me a little time to adjust the boiler to heat the rooms and water better than it was. We then had an issue with using the hot tub. It was not sufficiently filled, and although we did try it was not suitable and we did not use it again. We are so sorry we had these issues as the cottage is nicely laid out and in lovely grounds.
Lovely place to stay, clean and comfortable. Visited lots of places from here. The garden was perfect for our dog and the hot tub was a great extra! The hosts were very friendly. Willingham woods was great for walking the dog, he loved it there! Thank you for a much needed break!
Kristina
The accommodation needs updating. Lack of maintenance. Broken tap on arrival although the owner did try and stick it back on. Poor outside lighting and with hottub right around the back of the property the lighting issue was not ideal. The oven didn't work on all settings. The shower had tin foil around the slider bar. The living room had condensation between the sealed unit window. The positives were comfortable beds and the large garden for our 2 dogs Very disappointed overall
Andrew
We have stayed at Landsdown Lodge several times in recent years. The Lodge is accessible for Market Rasen centre and has a large Tesco just over the road. The racecourse is a 20 minute walk away and opportunities for walking are on the doorstep including Willingham Woods which is a 5 minute drive. We love the hottub and the log burner. The property continues to tick all our boxes and the owners are very helpful if needed.
Absolutely lovely place, really great location and very helpful owners. The beds were too soft for us, but apart from that, we loved it. Thank you X
Cosy and very well equipped accommodation. Ideal being so close to Tescos but don't let that put you off as the property is very secluded and quiet. Lovely garden and hot tub. We didn't use the latter as the weather was so dismal, but it was January. Really enjoyed the log burner instead. Would recommend.
Great accommodation , facilities and location was excellent
Great place to stay loved it will return
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage! The location was perfect peaceful and close to everything we needed. The privacy made it feel like a true getaway, and the hot tub was a wonderful bonus for relaxing in the evenings. Would definitely recommend and love to come back!
Lovely place, well equipped, clean and well maintained. With the added touch of the hot tub also well maintained. Good location with plenty to do in the local area and further afield. Close to nice places to eat. Also close to a big supermarket Would deffently recommend staying here
Our 3rd time at landsdowne, the owners were on hand if needed, lovley people. Will no dout go again.
Lovely property with a great garden. Very nice living areakitchen. 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The double bed was very comfortable. Excellent big Hot Tub. Overall we had a fantastic holiday.
The owners must be very proud ! Despite a small hiccup which was the probable result of OVER CLEANING and partially my fault , no stone was left unturned to fix it. The place itself is delightful and contains everything we needed . On top of that my Doodle was very happy .
Nicola
Absolutely beautiful. Had a lovely time. Many thanks
Christine
We had a lovely stay. The owners were lovely and were close at hand should we have needed them. Our small dog, escaped into their garden a couple of times on the first morning but they returned him and let us know so that we could close the door in the main bedroom as although there is small fence there, my dog was small enough to fit through. The rest of the area was very secure and the dogs loved the freedom of the area. The fish pond was well stocked and it was very relaxing sitting near it and watching them swim around. The house was very clean and had all the facilities we could possibly need.
Andrea
So relaxing, so beautiful, so perfect.
Had the best time staying at Lansdowne Lodge. The lodge is amazing with everything needed for a stay. The private garden and fishpond were lovely, a place where you could relax and read a book or just chill. Loved the hot tub and the robes and slippers were a nice touch, as were the prosecco and biscuits. A great base for discovering the delightful countryside and the Market town was nice to stroll into. Really useful having a Tescos nearby aswell. Would definitely recommend staying here and I would come back without a second thought. If you needed anything the hosts were just a call away and very responsive
Gillian
A lovely holiday home in a perfect location for Lincoln and surrounding areas of interest We walked cycled shopped and visited the museum and aviation museum, all within short drive away Very peaceful with lovely garden area. . thank you for making our stay so comfortable
A spacious and cosy cottage and all on the ground floor with a lovely garden and a fantastic hot tub. Location is great for shops in the town, train station and local buses to Lincoln castle is amazing and Grimsby heritage fishing museum excellent. With a week of spring sunshine we went horse racing, played golf and recommend walk no 3 in the visitor book that gave you a taste of the wonderful scenery around Market Rasen.
Elaine
Lovely place to stop very clean and hot tub is a real bonus location is fantastic for visiting places
Excellent host, with some welcome gifts on arrival. Property perfect for what we needed. Very detailed information book with lots of walks to hand. Lovely hot tub to enjoy with the clear skies at night making it more special. Will definitely return.
Lesley
2nd visit to this holiday lodge , perfect pre Christmas get away and to celebrate my sisters birthday ! We both enjoyed the hot tub which makes this place that extra special ! Just looking out the doors at the fish pond watching the birds is idyllic ! And the garden is great for the dogs ! Had minor problem with boiler but Beth was around straight away to fix it ! The lodge was decorated for Christmas which was lovely ! Easy access to Lincoln town or bit further afield beaches at Skegness and Mablethorpe were perfect for winter walks with the dogs ! Thank you for welcome gift of bubbles and biscuits ! Also the tescos across the road means you dont have to worry about food ! Lovely holiday we will definitely be back !
A little nugget of gold hidden in its own secret garden.
Lovely property, garden, and local area. Enjoyed the hot tub! Everything was to a high standard. Hope to stay with you again.
Pamela
Enjoyed the privacy of the lodge. Very comfortable and well equipped. The garden was great for our dog and the outside space would be lovely in the spring and summer.
Davina
Lovely property and the hot tub was a great luxury. Also very good for dogs as big secure garden
Cheryl
We loved our time here at Landsdowne lodge, it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We came here for a relaxing break after our wedding and wanted a retreat to relax in with our dogs. This place did not disappoint a beautiful garden with an amazing pond, and the wildlife were so lovely to watch on rainy days. On arrival we had been left welcome gifts, and relaxing in the hot tub after walks along the beech or through the woods was just perfect.
Jacqueline
This was a lovely holiday home and the location was perfect. The house had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The hosts were on hand if we needed anything which we didnt because they had provided everything we needed. The shop and village were very close for supplies and eating out. Dog walks were amazing. We loved it!!
Deborah
A lovely break in this wonderful cottage. Great location, and very convenient for all local amenities whilst still being private and secluded. The hot tub is just fab .
Michelle
This is our 3rd stay at Lansdowne Lodge, and once again we had a lovely stay. There is so much to do in the area and the hot tub is a lovely treat at the end of the day. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We had a lovely, relaxing week away. The house was spacious and cosy the hot tub amazing. The best thing was the garden being fenced in, so the dog could run around safely. Loved how its tucked away, like a secret garden. From a personal point of view, Id love to have the choice of a second double bed but honestly that just a preference, the house is lovely. We will certainly be booking again
Alison
Lovely cottage, very private and all enclosed for dogs. We found it to be very clean and has everything you could need for your stay.
