Amazing property all you need for a nice break away with family in a lovely village
Our stay at Tayview was tremendous it was a family weekend and we found that we had everything that we needed to have a great stay. The house was very well equipped, and the hot tub was a popular activity we would definitely return to Tayview if we stayed in the area again

Tay View is a magnificent house in the heart of the village. We were a party of 16 and there was loads of space. We got lucky with the weather so were able to take in the stunning scenery and use the outside space. The hot tub got used too. We had a fantastic time so would definitely recommend.
The property was excellent in terms of rooms and capacity to accommodate a large party the beds and bedding were very comfortable. The location was great with easy access to local shops and hospitality and the bike pumppark was a good addition for the children.

Well what a wonderful time we all had staying at Tayview House in Killin, every thing was just perfect, all 9 rooms were spotless and the beds were really comfortable, there was 15 adults and two little ones in our group for 6 nights and there wasnt even one complaint, the house accommodated us extremely well and Killin is such a lovely little village to have a wonder around in and the fireworks display at the bridge on New Years Eve was just amazing and a two minute walk for us from Tayview House. The facilities in the kitchen and utility area were more than adequate even for such a large group, it more than exceeded our expectations in every way. I would highly recommend Tayview House for a New Year break or for any time of year, we all loved our stay, well done Sykes Cottages 5
The house is situated in a great location and ideal for being in the village and so close to all other attractions in the area. The views were beautiful. The house is well stocked for catering for large groups. The dining kitchen area was perfect for us cooking for 17 people every night. The rooms were all an ideal set up also. The hot tub was in a great position. The only thing that has stopped it being full marks were that the 2 sitting rooms didn't hold us all and we couldn't sit there in the evenings as one big group. Some of the towels were marked and the property was a little bit tired in places curtains were hanging off the rails and towels were marked. We needed to hoover during the stay but to do so, we needed to empty the hoover and clean it. These are just little comments and they definitely didn't impact on our stay at all. We couldn't find any house instructions in the house or in the Sykes app. Again, it didn't cause us any problems but I wondered if it were missing? The leasing agent were very responsive and helpful whenever I did ask anything though.

Wow, just returned from a wonderful stay at Tayview where 4 generations of family celebrated an 80th birthday. The accommodation and location exceeded our expectations and the support from the property owner was second to none. Thank you allowing us to make memories that will last a lifetime, cant wait to return.
Great place to stay, warm ,clean plenty of space to unwind. Hot tub was great after a day Munro bagging.
We really enjoyed our stay. Our group had 9 adults and 3 kids under 4. The house was well stocked although champagneprosecco flutes would be a good addition. The house was mainly very clean a few areas needing a bit of TLC. The hot tub was used despite it being December. A cover over the top of the hot tub area would make it better. I received multiple phone calls, emails and messages before, during and after the stay, particularly regarding leaving a 5 star review. Whilst some may find this attentive, others may find it annoying. I would recommend the property and the area.
Louise
We had a great stay at the house. However the bbq was not clean and there was dust throughout the house on arrival. With the size of group the cottage can take the fact the hot tub is not checked daily it is surprising especially with us having one ourselves.

We were all eagerly looking forward to our weekend in Tayview and were not disappointed when we arrived. The Victorian villa was very clean throughout and welcoming and warm. The kitchen dining area was very large with a hugh table capable of seating all of us 12 in comfort and the equipment in the kitchen for food storage, preparation, cooking and washing up was exactly what we needed for our early 'Xmas' weekend. Throughout the house the sitting rooms and bedrooms were nicely decorated and well presented with a theme running through them. The beds were extremely comfortable. Killin is a good area for walking and there a few nice pubs to rest in before returning to ease tired bodies in the hot tub . We were lucky on the weekend we visited as it snowed adding a touch of Xmas to our visit. As a result of the snow and rain the Falls of Dochart were spectacular. We had a great weekend
Stunning house in a stunning location Nothing was too much trouble before or during stay Highly recommend
Perfect place for our family gathering. . Good quality utensils etc. The table football and the hot tub were a hit. We all loved it. One point for the owners to note is that the dining table chairs could do with some more padding. But that's just an observation to help them, not a complaint or even a negative.
Jacqui
Lovely and comfortable accommodation, in a lovely area. . there had been an issue with the drains, one phone call and this was resolved. Enjoyable walks nearby. Plenty to see in Killin itself and surrounding area. Great house for a group of friends, plenty of room to be together and spread out.
Michael
2 nights in this lovely home, 12 of us plus 2 dogs. First off the whole house was very clean and the bathrooms were immaculate. Lovely rooms throughout the property and the kitchendiner is superb to get everyone together. Kids loved the hot tub and I loved the wee bottle of Aberfeldy. Nice touch. Killin is a lovely place with great walks by the loch and the falls of dochart are impressive. Overall we had a lovely family break and making memories in this lovely home. Also got a call from a lovely woman half way through our stay to ask if everything was to our satisfaction. It's the little things
This was a fantastic house with everything we needed for a family party. Crockery, glasses, utensils etc. Good location for long or short walks. Even the weather was kind to us for most of the time. Comfy beds. We spent a lot of time together in the dining area, chatting, eating and drinking as there was so much space. Everyone attending has thanked me for organizing such a wonderful weekend. Cant wait to do it again sometime.
Great house for large family holidays. We all enjoyed the hot tub and space
We are a walking club that has a week in Scotland every year. We found the location ideal for bagging Munros in the area with just short car drives to the starts. There was the benefit of having the Coop a walk away meaning we didnt have to bring all our food with us. The kitchen and dining table worked well with more than enough space for everyone to eat together. The facilities in the kitchen are well thought through for cooking with larger groups. The rooms were comfortable with good flexibility on how the house can be setup for groups ie doubles and twins. The only challenge was parking, there was just enough but we did need to shuffle cars in the morning to walk our different routes. Great house in a great location and one we would definitely head back to to finish the Munros.
Fantastic house in a beautiful setting, thoroughly enjoyed our stay Thank you
We had a fantastic family stay for a week at Tayview. Lovely house with everything we needed and a fab location. The wood fire pizza place a few mins walk away and village pubscafes were very handy and nice. Park 5 min walk away was a hit with the kids plus lots of outdoor activities within walking distance kayaking on the loch, bike hire etc and amazing hiking on the doorstep. The house itself is lovely with enclosed garden safe for the dog and kids. We loved the table football upstairs too! 4 and not 5 for comfort only because a few family members felt the mattresses were too firm but I thought they were comfy and slept very well! Could just do with some plastic Prosecco flutes for the hot tub and a few more of the pint ones re facilities. The wee dram and Prosecco on arrival gave us a lovely welcome. Despite the hot tub having some issues, Jimmy and Louis were quick to get engineers out and did what they could to get it up and running again before we left. Just bad luck that happened when we were there but worked perfectly again for our last day. Thank you!
Location exceptional for a variety of outdoor activities in and around Killin walking, canoeing and biking from the doorstep. Accommodation excellent even at full occupancy 18 people. The large open kitchendining room was especially good for socialising and was well suited to our system of having different cooking groups each night. We occasionally used the 2 lounges, but we did not use the hot tub or TVs because there was so much else to do.
Angela
Beautiful property, perfect for all ages . . we spent the weekend here, ages ranged from 5 to 82.. property was spotless and had everything we needed.. hot tub was an added bonus. Large play park next to the property which was ideal for family games .. would definitely recommend. No negatives at all .. 5 stars
Geroge
The house was very good in terms of having a lot of bedrooms, bathrooms 2 sitting rooms, a large kitchen diner, a very handy Utility boot room and a hot tub. ...this was great for the large family group we had. Also the location in the Village was very good as a base to explore Killin and the local area more widely. However,....while there were lots of positives at Tayview, we did find some negative things which impacted our stay noteably the very noisy boiler in one of the first floor bedrooms which made being in there to sleep or relax difficult. Also very noisy is the oven in the kitchen which sings when being used. We also felt that the house overall was in need generally of some TLC to help to justify the charge levied for its use.
Andrew
We needed a sizeable property to allow fifteen of us to get together for our family celebration and Tayview suited us perfectly. The large openplan kitchendiner enabled us to bring in a chef and his team to prepare a special birthday dinner. The house was warm and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Killin is superbly located for walks and hikes and even a game of golf on the little jewel of a course on the edge of the village. We came from North, East and West and the village was central for all of us. A great weekend for young and old!
A fabulous place to stay. All bedrooms are spacious, well appointed and the house was very clean. Kitchen is very wellequipped with everything you need to cater for a large group. We had no problems with hot water, heating or wifi. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this beautiful property. Our visit in February was blessed with dry sunny weather and Killin is a lovely place to explore.
Ronald
We had a fab weekend. The property was perfect in every way particularly the ample supply of glasses and kitchen equipment.
Nicholas
Our stay at Tayview was truly amazing. The property was incredibly comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. The 9 x bedrooms that were all configured to king size doubles gave everyone thier own privacy, ample space and comfort. All the rooms can be configured into twins if that is required. I booked the property to spend with the whole family and invited friends to join us on the Saturday night to celebrate my 60th Birthday. The spacious kitchen dining area ensured the party was a huge success. The hottub made for a wonderfully relaxing experience for everyone and the games room and games console ensured the children were kept amused. The nearby coop provided everything we wanted with regard to food and drinks and was only a 6 minute stroll from the lodge. I would recommend Tayview to anyone looking for a spacious, relaxing getaway with family or friends. It was Absolutely Amazing
Gillian
Beautiful house we had 16 people in our party with ages from 73 to 2 years and the house was equipped for everyone. The house had everything we needed so cosy too for an old house. Situated well within the town too, lively and quiet did not hear a sound despite it being the run up to hogmanay. We all just felt so at home there best holiday home we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many all over the UK and abroad. This one is our favourite its a gem and the facilities are just what was needed for our large party. We would come back again the Town is lovely and the shops and people are so welcoming. The fireworks at the bridge on 31st were an added bonus and we only had a 5 minute walk to see them. The hottub was a bonus too the garden and parking was spot on too. We had a great stay and we have no bad things to say whatsoever to say. Lovely cosy home that we lived visiting and would go back to in the future. The management team and the owner Jimmy were so helpful that nothing was any trouble. Car charging point also an added luxury as one of our cars is electric. Everything has been thought of in this property with highest quality of furnishings and furniture. The beds were the best very comfortable everyone got a good sleep. The owner and his team do a brilliant job and this property should be awarded 10 out of 10 for every category.
Inhouse instructions not good. Only managed to operate one TV and on that one we could only find BBC iPlayer. No instructions provided for the EV charger.
Lindsay
Lovely house, central location which we enjoyed but we did have a few issues. The information about the car charging point should have been sent earlier to allow registration on the app. We just couldn't get it to work despite registering and following instructions on the app, which was a major problem as I have an electric car and needed to charge it to get home. . Also we couldn't watch normal TV despite spending a lot of time trying to follow the instructions. Poor lighting at hot tub was a safety concern. No microwave dishes available. Contacting someone was a problem. I sent 3 emails and phone 3 times about the charger. First response attachment wasn't included so I had to email again. Sly did finally phone me on Sunday to discuss problems by which time it was really too late. We had found an alternative means of charging my car. Anyway, comfy accommodation, great that we could have single beds but issues did spoil our break.
We were a party of 14 for a family birthday and we had an amazing time! The house is well equipped and maintained and would recommend. We had a wee issue with the car charger but owners helped straight away.
Teresa
We had a lovely stay in tayview. The house was perfect for our needs. The only slight disappointment for the younger members of the group was that the Xbox wasnt working out of batteries. Regards, Teresa
Excellent property in a fab location. Was very well equipped and spacious for our family gathering.
Lovely spacious property, in an ideal position for visiting Loch Lomond and the West coast of Scotland. Set in a lovely village with excellent restaurants and cafes. Bedrooms all well sized, kitchen fully equipped, plenty of parking. Had a great time..
Mairi Ann
This was an excellent house for our family gathering of 5 adults and 7 children. The house is very well stocked with plenty of crockery and utensils and the big bonus was having 2 dishwashers. The only criticism I had was that there was no tumble dryer. With 7 kids, it was difficult to dry clothes when it was too wet to hang out on the clothes line. I would certsinly recommend this house for a large family gathering.
Absolutely excellent accommodation. Ideal for a large group and everything has been well thought out. Cant fault it.
Excellent holiday home for our family reunion. The hot tub was a bonus and enjoyed by some of us. Thought given regarding facilities needed by such a large group eg 2 large fridges, 2 dishwashers. Maintenence guy came quickly to look at the shower which wasn't working properly. Car ev charging was another bonus but the isolater switch needed resetting after charging...not a problem but may need looking at. We had an excellent holiday, wanted for nothing in an ideal house. Thank you
We stayed at the house with 7 couples and there was plenty of space for all. Bedrooms all spacious and comfortable. It was a shame the hot tub wasn't hot when we arrived and had to wait until the following day to use. I would say the cleanliness was disappointing.. I cleaned our ensuite on arrival and some areas were covered in think dust.
Gillian
A great time had by all. ....16 of us ages 5 to 80!
Louise
A lovely property which is perfect for large groups. The property is well equipped with everything you need to have a relaxed stay for a big room. The bedrooms were all spacious and clean and the kitchen dining area was perfect for us to cook and eat together. A great property in a really well situated part of the town.
