3 Sunnyside Terrace Reviews

Had a fantastic stay at Sunnyside Terrace. The cottage itself was beautifully furnished, spotless and filled with everything we needed and more including some little treats for us and the dog. Owners were super responsive and helpful, sending ideas for local places to try. The log fire and hottub were such a treat given it was a cold snowy weekend. Would absolutely recommend a stay here, in a beautiful location with easy access down into Matlock filled with pubs, shops and restaurants aswell as very close to some lovely walks and other villages
Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated and catered for all your needs. Would definitely recommend and in a great location in the heart of Derbyshire.
Teresa
Lovely, spotlessly clean cottage, beautifully equipped, everything thought of! We enjoyed the hot tub, which was being filled and up to temperature when we arrived. Communication with owner was great, lovely location, steep if you intend on walking back from town. Well serviced location though, we had everything we needed. The cottage was tastefully decorated for Christmas and was welcoming and cosy but with all mod cons. Would recommend and return to explore this beautiful area.
Highly recommend. Lovely cosy cottage with added bonus of a hot tub. Clean and comfortable. Very much a home From home. Parking outside.
Lovely cottage with great views. Everything was there what we needed and more . Hot tub was a bonus and we will definitely be going back .
This cottage was immaculate, very well presented, feels very homely, the lovely added extra touches like the log burner pack were very much appreciated. The garden area and hot tub were amazing, the views of the dales and the peaceful surrounding was exactly what we needed. We will most definitely be coming back. Thank you so much to the owners, it was a pleasure.

Wow we step into the property for the first time and our thoughts were how amazing is this place. ..little touches like milk in the fridge for a coffee on arrival and a welcome box with biscuits...bottle of wine was lovely...The property was perfect clean and comfortable and our two dogs also enjoyed there stay so a big thankyou.....
By far the best cottage weve stayed in. The level of detail the hosts go to to ensure you are comfortable is incredible. The location is ideal too. So close to Matlock. We also enjoyed a hike around Derwent Forest, where we saw waterfalls. Thank you so much.
Spotlessly clean Every piece of equipment supplied Didnt like having to ask for heating to be put on off. Regardless of the temperature that was showing on the owners hive app Its for our comfort , paid enough for the luxury of heating ! prob suggest a 1 hour push button. We wake up early in the morning and the cottage is cool and apart from lighting the wood burner had no other way to heat up. Was told no jacuzzi after 10 pm. WOW I havent had a curfew since I was 15 years old. The jacuzzi and garden has lights around it but all garden lights switch off at 10 pm Leaving only a blinding flood light on. Sorry wont be back.
Sandra
Absolutely stunning cottage. Immaculately clean and was stocked with everything we could have asked for. The hot tub was an added bonus. We felt at home the minute we walked through the door. Communication with the owners was brilliant and helpful. Would definitely come again.
Perfect little cottage well appointed and tastefully decorated. Spotlessly clean and exceptionally well equipped. The lovely welcome pack was a thoughtful surprise with something to please everyone. Great location with a stunning view although the owners were right to mention that it's at the top of a very steep hill it didn't bother us at all but it's not for the faint hearted! I think this was probably the best cottage I've rented!
A fantastic cottage in a beautiful rural location with stunning views. The owners have stocked up the cottage with everything you could possibly need. Great attention to detail. Couldn't have been happier with our three night stay. Pleasant ten minute loop straight from accommodation to exercise the dog and the cottage was ideally located to explore the peak district.
Comfortable house for a great getaway. Decent driving distance to known walks and towns. Nice hot tub and cute garden lights!
Absolutely wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, clean and had everything you needed. We stayed for three nights but could have been there much longer. The hosts were fantastic and couldnt be more helpful. 5 for sure!
Amanda
The property was really lovely and we had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The only minor downside was that the WiFi was very poor, luckily we didn't have to rely on it but anyone that did have to would have been a bit stuck.
Tracie
We absolutely loved the location and the property was perfect for us. The hot tub was so welcoming after a day walking and climbing and so close to the amenities of Matlock. The local pub was great in the beer garden with the dog too. Loved it.
Rebecca
We had a wonderful stay at 3 Sunnyside, its potentially one of the best cottages weve stayed at. The owner has really thought of everything with all the extra touches and the location was really good for reaching the nearby villages and walks. The place was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. Would absolutely love to stay again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We had an excellent stay. The cottage was fabulous with great attention to detail. The attraction wax the hot tub and this was superb added an extra level of enjoyment to our stay. The hosts were great friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We would recommend this place without any reservations
We had the most lovely stay at 3 Sunnyside Terrace perfect for us and our two little ones aged 1 and 3 with 2 ample sized bedrooms and a bed guard, travel cot and high chair provided. The little details were so well thought out, right down to essentials being left in the kitchen and bathroom, the sweet welcome basket and toys and games in the conservatory. The hot tub was luxurious and a great extra, as was the fireplace. There is plenty to do nearby in Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. We were sad to leave and will definitely be returning for another holiday in the future!
Great little cottage with everything you could think of. Hot tub is lovely. Hamper on arrival was nice surprise. Highly recommended

Had a lovely stay, this cottage was so perfect for Christmas . . was cosy , comfortable & needed for nothing.. Cooked on Christmas Day & shouldnt have worried about taking baking trays , utensils etc as the kitchen was very well equipped Cottage on a step hill which gave beautiful scenery above the clouds was stunning , would definitely return .
We all had an absolutely wonderful break. The cottage is beautiful, fabulously equipped, decor is tasteful and of an extremely high quality. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like a relaxing stay in truly topnotch accommodation.
This is a lovely well maintained cottage , quality fittings and comfortable furnishings
This cottage is beautiful, everything you need is there. Lovely views from front windows. Perfect place to explore the dales. Hosts are lovely and very welcoming. Perfect place to relax and unwind. We will return again

3 Sunnyside Terrace was a beautiful base for us as a family of three. It was well equipped and had all the modern features you might wish for. The kitchen was especially equipped well. It was warm and cosy. The hot tub was a perfect addition to the stay. Our points of feedback is the tvremote needs looking at, it skips if you press the buttons too quickly and is frustrating slow and remote is sometimes delayed. We felt the written rules in both the bedrooms for checkout procedure was a little overkill. Asking us to clean out the fire for example made us feel we couldnt enjoy a fire on our last night as we were worried it would still be warm on day of departure so we couldnt clean it. Personally I would remove the lists from the bedrooms and just have one downstairs as a polite reminder. The location being at the top of a steep hill could be added on description to make that part clearer. We had a lovely stay and would recommend the property.
Kimberley
What a little gem. We came and stayed for 3 nights of the October half term. Two adults and two children. The cottage was absolutely spotless and comfortably furnished to a high standard. The owners have added lots of small touches to make it more homely. The weather was kind to us but we took full advantage of the log burner and hot tub. We would definitely recommend 1010.
Pauline
Fabulous clean, cozy and very well equipped for a home from home stay. Lots of lovely little thoughtful touches. Torches and charging points in bedroom & kitchen. Very comfortable seating and beds. Efficient log burner. Smart heating was great. Bathroom shower provided plenty hot water. Very good location for easy walking access for the more mobile or easy drive if not as mobile. Property has pleasant views from the front. The hot tub is a treat at the end of the day of walking and exploring. Sarah & James, were on hand if required and offered good prompt communications as we arrived and settled in. Thanks for really great break.
Michelle
Lovely accommodation, lots of useful products for visitors and great location.
We found that the description was understated, as the cottage was fantastic, the amenities were superb and the attention to detail was second to none. From the moment you walk in until you leave you keep finding little details the owners have thought of to make your stay even better. The hot tub was a welcome activity after a day out walking. In closing if you want a perfect stay where everything is taken care of Sunnyside Terrace is the place to book.
Lovely cottage clean well equipped nice welcome pack Sara was excellent lovely sunsets and views would recommend p
Lauren
The cottage is really well presented and comfortable, and in the perfect spot for exploring Matlock and beyond. The views from the property are stunning. The owners have thought of everything you could need and the hot tub was very much enjoyed.
A lovely wellappointed cottage a wonderful blend of traditional Peak District features with modern facilities and style.
Beautiful property, the owners have thought of everything!
Excellent cottage, everything you can think of is available to use. Beautifully restored and well decorated. Hot tub is great and private. Owners are extremely responsive to messages and only too happy to accommodate any needs you may have, such as additional towels etc. Perfect stay and wouldnt hesitate to book again. One of the best cottages weve stayed at and highly recommend booking.
Claire
We loved everything about our stay here. ...we felt at home the minute we walked through the door. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Would definitely come back!
Jennifer
This was such a wonderful place to stay. It was a great sized property for myself and my husband and had so many great touches and additional extras e.g. hot water bottles, games, Tupperware, oil, salt and pepper which made it so easy to be away and help us out when we had forgotten things. The property was comfortable and quiet and we loved the hot tub this is one of the reasons we booked here. We drove into Matlock for dinner and loved the Remarkable Hare and the Smoke House. Parking was also straight forward. Thank you for a brilliant stay.
We had a lovely time at no. 3. It had more than everything we needed for a fantastic stay. It was clean, the bed was lovely and comfy and the wood burner added to the cosy feeling of the cottage. Location was good for walks into Matlock and Matlock Bath. The cottage was a bit cold when we got there but a quick phone call to the owners and the temperature was better not particularly happy we couldn't control this ourselves and felt we weren't trusted to do so. The hot tub was the best we've ever used, we have used lots! big, lovely temperature, powerful jets and so sparkly clean. We used it a lot and it made our stay super relaxed. But if you want privacy this isn't the place for you. We were overlooked in the hot tub by both the neighbours, and the front of the house had nothing to stop people looking directly in to the front door and the big window of the living room unless you shut the curtains, then it was dark. All it needed was net curtains or similar. Because of the lack of privacy, we would not come back to this property.
Leanne
Fantastic cottage, everything you need and loved the little extras. Will definitely be back
Dennis
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The owners have thought of everything and we were not disappointed! The property is very tastefully decorated and was spotlessly clean. Communication between us and the owners was first class. If you are looking to stop near Matlock, then this property ticks all the boxes for comfort and cleanliness. It is well equipped, and the views are amazing!
