Lovely cottage to stay in, it has everything you need for a great holiday in Buxton. Excellent location near the centre of Buxton but in a quiet location, the house is cosy and homely with lots of useful information to help your stay. Highly recommended
Excellent communication from our hosts, Steve and Jane always replied quickly to our messages and were extremely helpful. The Cottage was just right. Lovely surprise to be greeted by a full cream tea served on China tableware along with bottle of wine. Very clean house and lovely and warm. Kitchen fully stocked. Super holiday. Everything we needed and wanted.

A very good base for exploring Buxton and the surrounding area. All home comforts and a lovely hot tub.
Stayed for 7 nights at Shenton Terrace in November, Arrived to cream scones left in the kitchen for our arrival and the wood burner already made up. Lovely and clean and the super king size bed was so comfortable. Ideally located at the edge of the village with a pub 2min walk away. Close to local walks , the Monsal trail being good for those who like a flat leisurely walk . And a welcoming hot tub to relax in after a day walking, the garden is secure so dogs can be safe. We can definitely recommend Shenton Terrace for a break away . 5star

We stayed at Shenton Terrace for a couple of days and wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage is lovely with some very thoughtful touches. Its also worth mentioning that I thought I might have left something at the cottage and the owners were extremely helpful. I would definitely return and recommend to others.
Shenton Terrace is a great little cottage, in a great location for exploring the surrounding areas, the owners had thought of everything with in the property, not once did we think of something that wasnt there. The garden is a nice and fully contained, so perfect for bringing your dogs. Although be advised the internal stairs are quite narrow and steep.
Bedrooms and bathrooms were modern and comfortable. We had lovely views of the countryside. The kitchen was pretty well equipped. Although the table was sticky even after washing. A covering of some kind, maybe. The lounge could do with updating and the sofas were not as comfortable as they could be.
A comfortable, clean, well presented cottage on the outskirts of Buxton with a lovely view over the local golf course. Well positioned to access many of the Peak District's attractions. The hot tub is a lovely facility to use after a day's sightseeing. The only thing I would mention for older guests is the steepness and incline of the staircase from the ground to the first floor although there is a support rail to use.
We had a lovely week at Shenton terrace with our children and dogs. The location was perfect for exploring the area and having the hot tub to relax in at the end of the day was a real treat. The cottage was wellequipped and welcoming, and we felt at home right away . The only downside for us was that the bed & pillows were a little too firm for our preference, but overall we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The wine and scones on arrival were also very much appreciated
The Cottage was excellent as described on the Website. It was very clean, beds were comfortable, and situated just 4 minutes drive from Buxton. The afternoon tea, and Wine were lovely extras. The Hot Tub was a hit with all the family. The only downside was that we could have done with a few extra Non Stick Pans to make Omelettes etc.

This was by far the best cottage we have been to. Perfect in every way. So impeccably clean, we felt we were in a hotel, yet felt relaxed and very at home. An afternoon tea was set out for our arrival with homemade scones, which was amazingand a bottle of wine! Our dog was welcomed with a bed, towel, blankets, bowls and biscuits. All the equipment you need is in the kitchen. Beds were so comfortable and a tv in each room was perfect. Powerful showers and tastefully decorated throughout, I can not fault it. We all loved the hot tub and used it after every day. We played games provided and had a lovely few days of family time. Great location, visited Buxton, Bakewell, Chatsworth house, walked to solomans temple for great views and spent time in the wonderful High Peake Bookstore and cafe!

Shenton Terrace is a beautiful cottage, it was absolutely spotless & we were greeted with everything we needed for an afternoon tea along with a bottle of wine, which was very welcome. The hot tub was lovely, especially in the snow. The hosts are always on hand should you have any queries, they cannot do enough for you. This was our second visit & we will definitely be back, we're considering making this our annual January bolt hole.
Rebecca
We had a lovely Christmas spent in the cottage, the hottub was a bonus for the kids. Everything was there needed to make Xmas lunch ie enough pans, trays etc. The cottage was cosy and homely. A lovely welcoming to receive a bottle of wine, lovely chocolates, homemade scones and even treats for the dog!

An excellent well maintained cottage, clean and comfortable with with a very well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, but I liked the top floor which I used as an office, to catch up with my emails on the laptop.
Lovely stay all was perfect. Communication from the owners was excellent
The cottage was spotlessly clean, it was equipped with everything and more that anybody would need. We liked the fact that no dogs are allowed upstairs this is how it should be. The bedrooms were 5 star beautiful bed linen and furniture the beds were so comfortable. Bathrooms modern with rainfall shower. Cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the area . The owners very friendly and helpful. This the best hotel rental we have been in highly recommended.
Lovely cottage well located for walks and Buxton town centre. Cottage was tidy and clean on arrival and some home made scones and a bottle of wine waiting. Everything you needed was on hand or explained in guide where or how to find it! Like Janes husband dropping dressing gowns of later on the Friday really kind of them The local pub was the 19th hole was so close and the landlady Jess was very welcoming. Hot tub was lovely warm and ready to go. The holiday was lovely and we will be back. 5star highly recommend

Great feedback with the owner and helpful beds and supplies for the dogs. Dogs loved it. A field just up the road to give them a walk. Friendly pub just up the road and 12 hour walk into town. Greta area. Good to have a hot tub after a long journey and area to hang up towels! 2 toilets so good for families too. We had two cars and managed to park one outside the house and another down the road for free for the week. Lots of places close by to visit and see!
The place was perfect, had everything we need. We loved our stay and would certainly come again.
