Langthwaite Cottage Reviews

Great for a peaceful break in the countryside. Up a narrow lane and away from the village. Lovely views, a wonderful place for walking or just enjoying the surroundings. Hot tub great for relaxing and enjoying the scenery and birdsong. A cosy, wellequipped cottage.
The cottage itself is located in a quiet and picturesque place. Large open space and great sized bedroom. A nice large bathroom as well. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Unfortunately the hot tub jets were not working so essentially it was like sitting in a warm bath. I informed the owner who was lovely and who came to take a look but I didn't receive any feedback as to why it wasn't working or if it would be fixed so it lessened our experience and a hot tub was one of the reasons we booked this property. The bathroom and living room was quite grubby and the some of the pans and oven trays were unusable. It's a really nice place to visit and I would recommend it.

Great location for exploring the surrounding area. Nice property, ample parking. Unfortunately the furniture was very tired and upon arrival the property was not very clean. Use of the heating would have been helpful too as we had a couple of cool nights. Prior notice of building work would have made our stay better too as we were awoken early every morning with drilling and banging 4 days Sadly not quite as advertised bathroom upstairs adjacent to the bedroom very small.
Beautiful cottage with a traditional feel which i love. The hot tub was amazing. Hosts were very welcoming. Views around the cottage were gorgeous. Only feedback would be the oven trays have seen better days and there could do with more pots and pans as there were only a few and no jug or ironing boardthere was an iron and hoover. But this doesn't reduce any score and will definitely be returning.
We had a wonderful stay here, accommodation was as stated and host was great. Very peaceful and fantastic walks and views. We would strongly recommend this as a great place to stay. We look forward to visiting again.
A clean and lovely cottage in a quiet and serene environment. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that could improve this would be that the hot tub be undercover so it could be used when it's raining. But this didn't impact or affect our stay at all. I would 100 recommend this property for its location, quietness and cleanliness.

A beautiful comfortable warm cottage in a perfect location. We loved that we could do country walks with our dogs straight from the cottage and also enjoyed star gazing from the hot tub. Owners were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. We hope to come back here for another holiday!
Lovely property. Very spacious. Nice touch of chocolates, bubbly and milk on arrival. It's a bit more remote than listing says and access from village is up long single tracks. Would benefit from a second bedroom. Kirby Lonsdale is beautiful.
Christopher
Great place to stay . . nice touch with free bottle and milk in fridge at arrival .. lovely lady came over and introduced herself and put us at ease.. apart from the glorious rain had great time . Would stay bit longer next time. Didnt get the chance to use hot tub
Super place. Lovely setting, very comfortable and peaceful. The photos don't do it justice. The only let down was a few more cooking utensils would be useful and more comfortable pillows but otherwise couldn't fault it.
Charlotte
Was great, slight issue with the heating but rapidly addressed by the owner
