This cottage is absolutely stunning and well worth a visit. The owners have thought of everything. Having stayed at previous places, I took toilet rolls, hand soap and washing up liquid. None of that was needed. We didn't use the hot tub but mainly this was because we didn't get time. The cottage and garden were very clean and comfotable. There was guidance left for all appliances and it has everything you need. My mum left some personal belongings behind and said the owner was very helpful in getting these returned. We would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

We were a party of 8 adults of varying ages and energy celebrating a milestone birthday. The cottage provided everything we needed from kitchen equipment to games and very comfortable beds. The location was very relaxing with great rural or village views from every window. I would definitely recommend without any hesitation. It would be helpful to remind guests to bring towels and robes for the hot tub.I may have missed this info And we found it took longer than 2.5 hours to heat up.

Great family accommodation, spacious, clean and well maintained. We were all very happy. Easy walking distance to Burford . Ideal for trip to Cotswold wildlife park,crocodile world and Burfords lovely garden centre.

Tawny Cottage is a super place to stay such s lovely house with a great garden. The house was just perfect for the eight of us duch a lovely place. The location was perfect too. Lots to see and o around the area too. I would definitely recommend staying in this lovely cottage.

The impression when entering Tawny Cottage is of light and airy space, well maintained and very clean. The house is very generously equipped and has a well fenced, neat and tidy garden with plenty of parking space at the front. The bed linen was good and there was plentiful hot water plus lots of extras such as welcoming pack of biscuits and soap. The big disadvantage is the twin bedded room. It may be ok for the young but not so good for older people with the very firm mattresses only 36cm from the ground. I had e mailed Sykes Cottages to ask to use the car charging point but received no reply to that and had no response for my request for a phone back when I joined a queue. We enjoyed our stay.

Great holiday cottage in a prime location, walking distance to local pub and Burford. This was our first English Christmas for a while since moving to Aus and we really appreciated the effort with a tree and decorations adding to the major for our young family. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay. Very comfortable and beautifully situated to tour Cotswolds. Fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants within a pleasant walk or short drive. We loved the country walks straight from the door.

Such a homely feeling to this lovely house as soon as you walk through the door. We enjoyed the local walks with our Cockapoo, Benji who loved chasing the pheasants up the lane! This place is very well placed for visiting the Cotswolds area, Blenheim Palace, Snowshill Estate, Cirencester, Cotswolds Wildlife Park to name a few. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the Cotswolds.

Lovely place, lovely stay!

Wonderful property in a quiet location with easy access to the delights of Burford and other localities. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was wellequipped, garden was lovely for the dog. We did the walk which is in the back of the information folder at the house and it was delightful more walks would be nice to have in the folder for other days. Dinner at The Swan at Swinford was excellent. A thoroughly pleasant three night stay!

Absolute Gem in the Middle of the Cotswolds. Perfectly located between a number of major villages Stow Bourton Chipping and of course a 15 minute walk from Burford. Property has everything you could want and more, we will definitely always have this on our shortlist for any future stays in the Cotswolds.

We had the best stay at Tawny Cottage for my 60th birthday with family. The house was immaculate when we arrived and the welcome gifts were much appreciated. The house was perfect for 8 adults including my son and daughter in laws Husky who enjoyed the enclosed garden. Plenty of room for everyone without being on top of each other. We had lovely weather so the hot tub was great 3hrs to heat up but it was definitely worth the wait and was still warm the next day! Beds were very comfy and everyone slept well during our stay. Walk into Burford took ten minutes, a bit longer if you stop at Paws friendly Carpenter Arms on the way. Turn left out of the drive and theres a good walk along single track lane the bluebell woods were beautiful. All in all the best accomodation weve stayed in altogether so far! We would recommend Tawny Cottage 100 and hope to return in the future. Thanks Nigel for being so responsive and helpful before we arrived.

Tawny Cottage was absolutely lovely, perfect for our family weekend stay in the Cotswolds . The cottage was spotless and very well equipped and maintained, and in a great location. Walks on the doorstep, Burford 10 min walk away a selection of good pubs nearby, and lots to see and do in the vicinity.

We loved the house and location. Enjoyed that the house was on a quiet road so not disturbed by traffic noise. The property has a good private garden. Would book the property again

Very pleasant stay for me and my 11 year old exMilitary GSD. Will be back, for sure. Nigel was very helpful in accommodating an earlier than stated checkin. Left the cottage very clean and tidy as this is to be expected from any Military man. Will highly recommend.

This is such a beautiful property, and despite the photographs, it exceeded our expectations! In fact, we were gutted to not be in it more!! The kitchen and dining area were hugely open plan and perfect for our first evening meal we cooked a 2 course meal in, and the lounge area was cosy and snug. The bedrooms were large, bright and airy. Everything was immaculately clean. We were absolutely delighted with our stay, and couldn't fault anything. We would definitely book again if we are in the area and will recommend to friends and family

Tawny Cottage is just perfect. Spacious and welcoming, the photos dont even nearly do it justice. The perfect layout for us, the downstairs en suite bedroom was ideal for my son, daughter in law, and baby, and our dog loved the safe, fully enclosed, garden. Its beautifully decorated and has such a cosy welcoming feel. The huge open plan kitchendining area was lovely and very well equipped with everything you could conceivably need, including a good size fridgefreezer large range cooker and separate drinks fridge. Having a separate comfy lounge was great for evenings, plenty of room to gather around playing games, watching tv, or just chatting and chilling. The cottage is situated in a pretty and very quiet area within easy walk of bustling, beautiful, Burford, which has an abundance of lovely specialist shops, restaurants, coffee shops and a good local co op. The location is amazing, really convenient for visiting all the pretty Cotswold villages and attractions. We had some lovely days out at Cotswold Water Park, Birdland, and Cotswold Wildlife Park which was just amazing!! Also its the most dog friendly area weve ever visited. Our dog was welcome at all the attractions we visited. The beds were incredibly comfy and the master bedroom with Juliette balcony over the back garden was just beautiful. We were sad to leave, its been one of the best family holidays weve ever had, we hope to return.

Tawny Cottage is a beautiful place. Very clean and tidy with lovely rooms and a wonderful enclosed garden. Everything you needed was there very well equipped. Myself, my daughter and our dog had a wonderful stay and only wished we had booked for longer as didnt want to leave it was that nice. Also blessed with such beautiful weather. Also the fansair con stands were so welcome and worked great in the heat. Just an idea, as we were there in heat, maybe some blinds on the landing windows, to try and keep down. Tawny cottage was beautiful. We loved how clean and comfortable everything was. It was also spacious and light with everything we needed. The location was also great and we had dinner at the carpenters arms and went on some lovely local walks. We would love to visit again and see more of the Cotswolds. Lovely property, very comfortable and extremely well equipped. We stayed during a very cold week and the cottage was beautifully warm. Our dog particularly enjoyed the safety of the enclosed garden. Would happily stay here again sometime in the future.

Property was nearly perfect for our family of 5 adults and 2 children. My one grumble would be that the fridge is way too small for the size of house. Could barely get the milk and wine in ..never mind the food. On the plus side it was good to see a butter dish and toast tongs which are often missing from holiday lets. Great quiet location with easy 15 minute walk into Burford.

Hi there. Thanks for a fabulous stay. The only thing we can think of that might improve the house is for more than two tea towels to be provided and perhaps a bit more wood for the hot tub but other than that, it was perfect for our requirements!

The only thing we would recommend would be the addition of a few egg cups! A couple of our party fancied a boiled egg once or twice, and there was nothing to put them in, Also, there was a dripping tap in the kitchen when we arrived. As the kitchen is integrated with the living area this was obviously something that was annoying, although when I reported it after a couple of days of thinking that it might stop it was fixed the same morning.

This home was lovely for our group of 4 kids and 4 adults, and somehow was nicer in person than the photos suggested. The property is in a great location, and had everything we could have needed, including linens, kitchen wares, and games for the kids. Checkin was easy. The only thing that could have improved my experience is an option for trip protectioncancellation for international guests. All in all I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to have a lovely stay in the Cotswalds.

Tawny Cottage was a lovely place to stay set in a beautiful location. It was perfectly equipped, very clean and well looked after both inside and out. Within the Cotswolds its really well situated for visiting many places and there are nice walks right from the door. Burford itself has lots of lovely places to eat and shop so you dont need to go far if you dont want to. The perfect place to stay for us, our grown up family and our doggies we really didnt want to leave at the end of our 10 days.

It was a great cottage and we had a lovely time. Well equipped and comfortable. A couple of notes though minor point but there didnt seem to be anywhere to put hand towels in the toilet or the master ensuite. Also minor, but there could be more chopping boards. Not sure how the 300 bond worked more explanation would be good.

Everything was lovely the house was spacious and in a great location. My only note for anyone looking at this cottage is that if you are a large family who watch a lot of TV together the lounge isnt a great shape for that, but that is the only tiny, tiny negative and is arguably a good thing

This cottage was first class. The owners had clearly fitted it out as if they lived there. We didnt want for a thing. Will definitely look to revisit.

We had a relaxing week's stay as a at Tawny cottage over Christmas for family reunion . Excellent location only a 20 minute walk to centre of Burford and 10 minute walk to nearest gastro pub with excellent food. We could easily reach all areas of the Cotswolds and shopping in nearby Witney. The owners had kindly provided Christmas decorations, throughout the house including a large tree in the kitchen diner, as welcome biscuits and Christmas crackers. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. The house is well equipped to a high standard, spacious and has everything you need for your stay. The beds in all the rooms are very comfortable along with 3 high standard bathrooms and downstairs toilet. There's plenty of sitting space in cosy lounge along with wood burning stove. The highlight is the large, bright kitchen diner with large dining table, good quality kitchen and utility room with lots of cupboard space and sofa, along with lovely views of Cotswold countryside. We would highly recommend a stay there.

Absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful, immaculately clean house. The house is modern, spacious, warm and has excellent facilities. The location of the house is great for exploring the Cotswolds. The house has ample off road parking which we really appreciated with three cars. We were three couples with three babies and one toddler and it worked really well for us. We all had a bathroom each and the bedrooms were all spacious and generously sized. We would highly recommend this property! We all had a wonderful stay, thank you very much!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this clean, comfortable, well equipped home from home. The lovely comfortable beds would've been perfect with feather pillows, although I guess some people might prefer the fibrefilled type for allergy reasons. The 'welcome' box of biscuits which awaited our arrival was a thoughtful touch, thank you.
