Generally, we were very happy with the accommodation and had a lovely family get together at Stable House. It was very useful to have the 3 bathshower rooms with 7 people staying. We also made good use of the garden, hot tub, patio area, tabletennis table and pool table. The kitchen dining area was well equipped, though we thought a bread bin might be a useful addition, and we felt that it would be useful to have more cupboard space in the kitchen for food storage. Cleanliness was generally fine, wouldn't say 'spotless', and there was a faint doggy smell on arrival but to be fair, there had been a lot of rain the week before and we were expecting a dog friendly property. I must stress that the above are minor comments, and didn't really detract from our very enjoyable week away.

We loved staying here! The super king size bed was so comfy, the living room was a lovely space to relax in and the kitchendiner was great with everything we needed. The jacuzzi was brilliant and we spent so much time winding down after some great local dog walks. Our dog absolutely loved the big garden and we could relax knowing she couldn't get out I'd be more careful with small breeds though. We hope to come back as we didn't get to visit all the sights and tourist spots nearby because we were enjoying the house and garden so much. We hope to return with some friends next time as the other bedrooms were also lovely.

My family group of 6 adults, 1 infant and 1 child had a fabulous stay to celebrate a birthday. Everything from the information, the owners extra assistance, location and surroundings, to the wonderful facilities was just perfect for us all. We thoroughly enjoyed the indoor and outdoor games, hot tub and the barbecue. The garden was spacious and shady which was needed in some very hot weather. We would not hesitate to recommend this holiday home.

Perfect for our relaxing family holiday, perfect for our two dogs especially the gorgeous, spacious garden. The whole place has a unique, happy vibe could not recommend highly enough, just hope we are lucky enough to stay again one day. Lovely home with perfect grounds. Listing made it quite clear it was on a farm, so we expected some noise, but it was perfectly quiet, we didn't hear anyone!! Very secure with the electric gate.

Thank you for a lovely stay! The property was very clean and comfortable, equipped with lots of games and things to do. The location is very peaceful but just a short drive from Yeovil and Sherborne where there is lots to see and explore. We would love to return in the future!
The stable house is stunning, it literally made us all gasp with excitement as we entered and started to explore. The house was dressed up for Christmas, the tree was beautiful and grand. Major hits were the pool table and hot tub. The welcome pack was such a great touch and one we were so thankful for. The location is perfect, from becoming a hermit for your stay or venturing to the very near local pub that also has an open fire room. This was one of our best Sykes stays so far and weve done a few. The owners really do think of everything you may need. We are hoping to book again for the warmer weather.

Such a lovely house! This was our 3rd visit and every stay has been brilliant. It's the perfect place particularly if you have a dog our pup loved running around in the garden which is completely enclosed and dog safe. There's loads of local places to explore like the Nine Springs park and Frome which are beautiful! We hope to be back again in the future.

A great property which suited our party very well. Plenty of utensils, cups, plates, glasses etc lovely large mugs which were great!! The whole house had a homely feel to it, which was also lovely and warm and spacious. The pool table in the lounge was an added bonus with many a tournament had by our party! We had 2 dogs who found the large enclosed garden great for pottering about it. The courtyard area with the hot tub is delightful especially when you turn the outside garden lights on so pretty! All beds were comfy and bedrooms spacious. Of the 4 bedrooms, 1 is ensuite, with the other 3 bedroom sharing a large bathroom down the landing. The other bathroom is downstairs near the back door which was useful when coming in from the hot tub. Plenty of car parking too. I would have no hesitation in booking this property again.

A long weekend with girlfriends. This house was perfect, very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. We loved the hot tub with the fairy lights. We were lucky with the weather and spent a day in lovely Sherborne and another at Montacute House National Trust. Theres clearly so much more to do both at the house and around and about. We had a very enjoyable time. Thank you for this fabulous property.

The house is really lovely, charming and characterful. The location is also really lovely. It was perfect for our family gettogether, and everyone really enjoyed being there. What was a little disappointing was that upon arrival, we discovered that certain elements of the kitchen were not in good condition. The cutlery drawer, the utensil drawer and the Airfryer were in a pretty disgusting state. We had to wash all the cutlery and utensils and clean out the drawers themselves. The Air Fryer also needed to be thoroughly cleaned before use. The Ensuite bathroom was also not completely clean. There were hairs in the shower and around the loo. This slightly detracted from our stay.

Really lovely property. It was very spacious, there was plenty of crockery, trays, cutlery etc for a large group. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor space, and it was a short drive from the lovely town of Sherborne. We would love to stay again.

The house was absolutely perfect. The pool table and table tennis was a massive hit with our kids. And chilling in the hot tub at the end of the day in the pretty courtyard was just lovely. Everything had been thought of. There was enough kitchen utensils and cutlery, and chairs for everyone in each room. My kids had great fun using all the cushions to build a pillow fort in the living room. Beautiful location. Couldn't recommended this place more. Plus I accidently left some clothes behind and the owner was so helpful.

Stable House was perfect for a family winter holiday. Ample space and the pool table a real bonus also the hot tub much enjoyed by us females !! The enclosed garden was safely explored by our 2 dogs as well. The house was lovely, clean and very well equipped.

This was an amazing place,loved the hot tub and pool table had many hours of fun . Was greeted by Sarah and was made to feel very welcome straight away. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a lovely holiday. The house it self was absolutely lovely and equipped with everything you could ever need for a lovely holiday. The Stables is a lovely combination of old and new. The new kitchen area is fabulous and the old lounge is cosy with the added bonus of the poolfootball tables. The hot tub and garden are a delight, shame weather wasnt better to enjoy both more. I would worry about the deep stone steps for young children or older people though to get to and from the house but ok for us. We had a lovely time. The little extras on our arrival were an added bonus, thank you Sarah.

The house is beautiful, and very well equipped. It was just perfect for us as a family holiday base. The beds are amazingly comfortable and everyone slept well. We loved the large safe garden and the jacuzzi. We were fortunate to have a week of lovely weather and enjoyed visits to Monkey world and Weymouth and Sherbourne. The Abbey is beautiful.
The 2 bathrooms upstairs were all at one end of the first floor and most of the bedrooms were the other end. Consequently people walking up and along on the first floor at night. Otherwise it was lovely and very comfy

We had a fantastic stay at The Stable House. It was the perfect place to celebrate hubbys 50th Birthday. Facilities and layout are fantastic. Hot tub and pool table were well used and we had 16 people playing charades in the living room on Saturday evening. Very spacious! Lovely pubs and dog walks nearby. Easy access to big supermarkets, shops and takeaways in Yeovil only 10 minutes by car!
Everything was good thank you,very well facilitated great location, big comfortable bedrooms showers were very good. Very cosy and warm loved the log fire.

We had a lovely stay in The Stable House which was warm and cosy for our December booking. The owner had put up a Christmas tree which was a lovely touch. The house was very well equipped for the seven of us, the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of seating in the living room. The owner gave us a tip for a Christmassy place to visit nearby which was very useful. Would highly recommend for a family get together.

We had just the best family time together celebrating 3 milestone Birthdays. The house is so spacious, has comfortable beds, is tastefully decorated, very clean, has everything you need and great facilities in terms of oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, washing machine, a line to dry the clothes on and even clothes pegs . Nice personal touches with local biscuits, honey, juice and milk to welcome us, even doggie treats for the pets! We all enjoyed the pool table and table football and not a day passed where neither were not used! The garden is a real treat for humans and doggies alike. The hot tub a wonderful bonus. We are thinking of returning again one day we enjoyed it all so much and it worked well for us as a group of parents, grown up children, a grandchild and 2 dogs. The only added extra which might help future guests is some plastic glassesflutes for outside. Highly recommend The Stable House.
Lovely house we enjoyed our stay very much. Pub nearby served exquisite food. Comfortable beds, gorgeous kitchen. more teaspoons needed Ages from 77 to 14 we all enjoyrd our stay. Will do it again.

We were a group of 6 adults, 1 baby and 3 dogs who all had a wonderful stay at The Stable House. It was well equipped, really spacious and very comfortable. The location is very quiet despite having the working farm behind. It has a beautiful secure garden which our dogs loved exploring, while we spent time in the hit tub. Approx an hour away from the coast, 10 mins from Yeovil and Sherborne. A lovely base to travel from or just stay and chill for a few days. Finally great communication from the owners, we felt very well cared for during our stay.
