Lake Lodge Studio Reviews

We had a lovely stay, the lodge was very clean and welcoming, really comfortable with everything we needed and the added bonus of the hot tub. Would definitely recommend the lodge for a relaxing break.
We had a lovely week here with the dog, great hosts who are happy to help with any queries. Comfortable studio with everything you need, hot tub is an added bonus. Very close to windermere which we ventured to on our evening walks. Private garden for the dog to roam freely. Would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely stay . Had everything you needed. It is compact but good organisation overcomes this .nice and cosy . Lovely bed .enclosed garden for our dog to Rome free but always insight. Just over the back wall there's a lovely walk with fantastic views. There is all you need .microwave oven ,2 ring hob ,fridge and separate small freezer over by the bed .always warm with adjustable heating .conservatory was lovely to sit it and watch nature or TV. And a lovely hot tub with lovely views of the night sky and stars so peaceful. A little tlc but everything is acceptable and a good location to get to all the amenities and places around. Vivien was at the end of the phone if needed but we didn't have any problems and thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay .thank you for a lovely stay lake lodge studio regards Darrin ,Sue and Little miss Bella
Love this place, I have been before. It is small so you need to be organised to get the most from it. Great access to walks over the rear wall and close to Bowness for eating, drinking & entertainment, which I found plenty of. Hot tub is always a winner, even in the rain! Warm & cosy with a great atmosphere!
If you are pet lovers you will love this place owner is really nice and very friendly
Robert
Lovely dog friendly retreat. Unfortunately we went at the hottest week in May ,and the only circulating air in the studio came through the glass conservatory so it was stuffy. I should imagine it would be perfect in cooler weather as it had plenty of heaters .The bed was really comfy. Judy was lovely very helpful and had left essentials tea coffee milk etc . Nicely maintained garden we didn't use the hot tub but did attempt to climb the dry stone wall once onto the fields beyond for a walk.
Hi we enjoyed our stay, but would not recommend it for elderly or incapacitated people access is along a narrow path with a quite a few steps up and down. The immediate approach is not good with plenty of serious potholes and the parking is on a steepish slope. However the hostess is very hospitable and the location is excellent. we reserved and paid the rental when we had two dogs, one of which died the day before departure. Is it possible to obtain a small refund please?
Really nice peaceful getaway. Highly recommended.
Darren

Deborah
Lovely and cosy place, no problems at all , we all felt comfortable and relaxed, would definitely book again.
We enjoyed our stay very much It was small but very cosy and very well equipped with plenty of fridge and freezer space. It was clean and nice and warm. Our dogs enjoyed a wander around the garden and the hot tub was lovely
Andree Simone
Absolutely wonderful! Close to Bowness and hawkshead ferry. The bed is so comfy we didnt want to get out! The cottage is the most dog friendly weve ever stayed in. Will definitely be back and recommending to family and friends
Elizabeth
Small but lovely place to stay just for 2 people and large garden for the dogs to run around. Hot tub is a bonus. Steps in us a climb especially when wet but just need to take care. A good place to stay as its just short drive to other place to visit.
Lovely property in a quiet location. Perfect short break for us and our dog.
Barbara

The garden was great for my 3 dogs and the hosts went out of there way to help
Robert
Great location for visiting many areas of the Lake District, amazing hot tub for private use.
Jacqueline
Property is very small the furniture is not very comfortable but Id imagine thats because of the limited space in the small conservatory the road leading up to property definitely needs repairs however thats probably not anyones fault but the council the hot tub is great even in March was to far to walk into bowness so had to use the car all the time .
Richard
Terrible property, lack of maintenance, cobwebs everywhere, dirty cutlery and pans with old outdated photographs. The Studio has dangerous electrics, old appliances. We were told not to put hob and shower on at same time as it would trip electrics. The Studio was freezing cold. Outside there are loose paving stones and decking boards. Decking boards are old and slippery. Many trip hazards and height hazards. Unlit walkway at night, unable to see steps. Very dangerous. Hot Tub does not comply with current regulations. Owner and Sykes Cottages unwilling to help and oblivious of any problems
Amazing place, very cosy and we felt very welcomed. Hot tub was fantastic and great views. We felt very lucky to have picked this, made the holiday great. Good location, 5min drive into Bowness with free parking, ferries, loads of pubs, restaurants and shops. Does feature a big but very friendly and behind a fence dog, steep driveway and stepped access, but perfect if that wouldnt impact your stay. Thank you for a great holiday would definitely recommend it!
We had a lovely stay with our dog! The pictures don't do it justice! Lovely big cosy bed and we enjoyed the hot tub every night and felt private due to the way the cover sits it blocks the windows. Excellent location not far from most local towns and hikes. Our dog loved the garden and having the conservatory helped the place feel more spacious.
We had a great stay at this property and can highly recommend. It was small and compact as expected but had everything needed and was ideal for a couple with a dog having an enclosed garden. The hot tub was fantastic with views up the fell. Just a few minutes drive from Bowness and Windermere with easy access to the ferry for exploring the other side of the lake. The owner was lovely and very helpful.
Absolutely loved it so comfy what a beautiful place to stay. The hot tub was amazing and Judy was lovely always there if we needed anything. Little personal touches too this was our 1st wedding anniversary too beautiful surroundings too would definitely go back
Lovely studio as described, welcoming host, would love to return
Stanley
My girlfriend and I absolutely adored the property, everything inside was perfect and the surrounding area is gorgeous. The host was very friendly and super accommodating. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic little gem of a place. Judy the host was very warm , welcoming and helpful . The studio was exactly as advertised but the pictures cant do this lovely little haven justice . Myself and my 10 month old doggy cant describe what a wonderful time we had at lake lodge studio !!!! Very near to the hustle and bustle of bowness, however far enough away to enjoy the tranquility of the fells and and amazing views of the lake xxx The Hot tub is such a luxurious bonus and beautifully placed in the spacious fully enclosed dog proof garden . Only 1 very tiny improvement for me personally would be a small freezer for ice cream etc . But this does not detract from how wonderful this place and the host is xx Thank you to lake lovers and especially to Judy for listing this property for me to share
We were very satisfied with the property. The location was great, the surrounding area was very pretty and well maintained, The property had everything that we needed for our stay, The hot tub which was available for our use was fantastic. We met the owner of the property, she was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if we visit the Lake District again.
Great cosy little apartment in a great location.
Alison
Lovely cosy cottage, fab garden for the dog! Just in need of a little TLC. Paint work, conservatory is lovely but pvc needs a good clean! I wouldn't stay again as a little too far out for us. But if was closer to Windermere 100 yes ! I would suggest a little vacuum or something just for guest to keep carpets clean, especially when having a dog! I cleaned up but felt guilty for dog hairs on rug!
A bit disappointed over all , the location is a very steep twisty drive, then the lodge is basically a basement in a house, to which you have to duck under a bridge to gain access too , couldnt really make a meal with the cooking facilities available or limited at least as there's no proper oven shower was awful, The hot tub was decent under the stars, but the decked steps are an accident waiting to happen overall definitely not worth anywhere near the price.
The hot tub was amazing The studio was very warm Auntie Viv was ... The hot tub was amazing The studio was very warm Auntie Viv was a lovely host The studio is very small Every footstep can be heard from the house above The studio was very expensive for two days considering its location from WindermereBowness
We had a nice stay in difficult circumstances after my mum died a few days prior to our arrival. We've stayed here a few times now and really enjoy the location and hot tub. What we weren't so happy about was the way in which lakelovers handled the situation. I made a request to amend the dates last minute, not expecting this to be acceptable but felt it was worth asking, explaining I was caring for my mum as she received hospice care at home. The initial copy and paste reply I received to my message was, I feel, insensitive in the circumstances. I explained that Beth would use the property if we could not change dates but I would not be able to. Circumstances changed quickly so, after discussing with my family, we decided to travel a day later. On arrival we were told that the owner had checked with lakelovers and been told we were not coming. This hadn't been checked with me at all and was contrary to my message, so the heating had been turned off and though it was rectified immediately and caused us no further issue I feel a message to check our plans would have been more appropriate. I will avoid using Lakelovers in future.
Adriana
Amazing place running by lovely lady. The studo was wonderful and cosy. Everything was prepared for us and our doogs.
Andrew
It was a lovely cosy property in a great location would definitely recommend
This property was just like the pictures and description on the website. The facilities were clean and tidy on arrival and the host was available at all times. We loved our greeting from the hosts four legged companion every time we returned to the property. The hot tub was available at all times. It was slightly over filled but that problem was quickly solved. The only improvement could be freezer space for ice blocks and ice cream and a firmer mattress. We would return here. The location is perfect.
Stuart
Location is perfect, had a warm welcome upon arrival. The facilities were excellent and just a short drive to Windermere. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend. Hoping to return in 2023.
Lovely spot for couples in the Lakes, close to Bowness but also far enough away to allow a relaxing break and chill out. Dog friendly and stunning countryside on your door step. We loved it.
Loved the place . Ideal base to get about the lakes and slightly further a field .
