Big Azzles Reviews

I have fallen in love with this beautiful house and resort. The house was brilliant and clean The pull out bed in the lounge was very comfy and easy to pull open and close. The hot tub was so relaxing and wonderful after a busy day at the beach and an added bonus with outdoor shower to use before getting in the hot tub The BBQ was brilliant it was new and so easy to use. Adrian and his son Callum the owners were so helpful and friendly. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were great and having a shower room downstairs was great for the guest staying on the pulldown bed. Thank you. We would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

A great cottage listed correctly and good value for money. It doesn't have the finest of finishes, however its a holiday let. Good spaces, good garden, good tub, good equipment. It is however great value for money. Take your family and enjoy !
We had a lovely postChristmas break at Big Azzles. The house was exactly as we expected from the listing and ideal for our party of 4 adults and 3 children very clean and comfortable. The hot tub is a great addition. The location is great for accessing Benllech. We did have some trouble finding it initially as it had gone dark and I think perhaps the address could be changed so it's more accurate for the sat nav. But that was our only issue the whole weekend. We had a very happy stay thank you!
There was only soap in one bathroom when we arrived. Also there was not much toilet paper, only one roll per bathroom. Lack of cleaning supplies as well to clean once we left, and only a few dishwasher pods. WiFi was slow when multiple people used it. We also booked for seven people, there was no indication of where the spare bedding for the sofa bed was or how to open the sofa bed. Also we had no spare towels for the person on the sofa bed or for in general. Also we accidentally turned the water off, this could be labelled better so no other idiots press this in the future
Not very clean at all. Holes in the walls and chipped paint on the stairs. Badly tiled and rough tiling in the main bathroom which could injure somebody. Dog pooh in the garden. Garden furniture dirty. Hot tub had lots of sand in it. Living room furniture not very comfortable neither were the beds but that could be a personal preference the Juliet balcony door in the ensuite room didn't close properly. We did enjoy the area. But wouldn't stay there again or recommend it for the price we paid for it. A bottle of milk would of been nice. But no welcome pack at all.
Great value for money in a great location
Oh my days! what a wonderful holiday we've had. We felt so at home as soon as we went into Big Azzles. clean, tidy, comfortable are just some of the words we'd use, The icing on the cake was the hot tub set up and ready to use helped of course by the full week of amazing weather. Thank you Big Dazzles... Our only comment would be to make the small road sign on the side of the fence a bit bigger or stand out more as we drove up and down the main road a couple of times before we noticed it on the drive. .
Lovely property, ideal location for staying in Benlech, close to the sea and facilities. Well equipped Kitchen. Good all round space for a familly of four. Hot tub is great enjoyed by all. What lets it down is the maintenance of the property, the grass needs cutting in the garden, so its easy to pick up any dog mess, the ensuit toilet has a leak from the toilet and is coming thru the ceiling in the hall. The hoover is knackered needs replacing, this is essential for a property that allows pets, the washing machine needs a cleanand the fridge is a bit on the warm side. The propery needs a deep clean ie windows, wall scuffs ect. The furniture is now looking tired and needs handles replacing. The property would benifit of having a freshen up to bring it back to were it was when it was built, this would be amazing as it is a great property and has loads of potential.
Rachel
A fabulous property, spacious, well equipped and lovely quiet location. Outdoor shower was brilliant for the hot tub and cleaning down sandy dogs after adventures on the beach. Great local pub and take aways close by with a wonderful beach and bay to walk to as long as you dont mind a bit of a hill coming back. A few little maintenance niggles, which it would be great to pick up on before they escalate or impact the general high quality feel of the property.
We had an enjoyable holiday, the accommodation was okay, i thought a lot of the finishes to the property were poor quality especially the wall tilling to most rooms and floor to the entrance, the stairs hadnt been measured properly and resulted in a mini landing at the base of the stairs, there had been smokers in before us at some point and they had left cigarette buts in the planters around the jacuzzi, the log burner was excellent but a shame there was no initial starter pack as described. Our master bed was good, double bed sink in, single beds felt springs. No wardrobe or mirror in the two single beds room.
We stayed at one of the other properties last year which was brilliant, This one ... We stayed at one of the other properties last year which was brilliant, This one was good but needed a bit of care and attention and was not up to the standard of the previous property, on another note I am very disappointed that when the guy came to change the gas bottles he left the back gate wide open and if it wasnt for me going out with my 2 dogs they could have escaped, also said back gate had no lock on it for properties that can have dogs I think this is a must
Leslie
Clean well presented within easy reach of local amenities first class really enjoyed our stay
Lovely holiday at this clean, well equipped holiday home. Great hot tub!
It was everything we could have asked for just as was advertised the property was clean every appliance that you need to make your stay enjoyable. The garden was completely enclosed so it was fantastic for our little dog, and with the hot tub it made it a holiday to remember.
We would not stay again as the property was not very clean . One of the bins was full of nappies when we arrived we dont have a baby and one of the single beds was covered in black hairs and it was obvious that the sheets had not been changed . The finishing details of the property were very poor considering we paid a lot of money for this property.
Sandra
Really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a great position, although a bit of an uphill slog back from the beach. Its comfortable and well equipped, with good outdoor space. The hot tub, garden loungers and cushions were especially appreciated. Unfortunately there was a leak from the ensuite shower which meant we couldnt use it after our third night and the tv in the double bedroom didnt work.
Michelle
Great 50th birthday weekend spent with friends. Owner rang before we arrived to let us know of a problem with the hot tub. By 10am the next morning it was all sorted! House was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed and was in a good location.
We had a wonderful time, the place was amazing my only criticism was that the hot tub had no shelter we was open to the ailments, as it rained quite heavily at times. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
I booked this for a honeymoon gift for my daughter and her new husband. They said the accommodation was absolutely amazing and very spacious with everything that they needed and more. The garden and outside space and hot tub are fantastic and made their honeymoon more special. Theres many amenities within walking distance including the beach in which the dogs loved to run and play making special memories in regards to their wedding and first few days of them being newly wed.
We were disgusted to see dog faeces on the lawn when we arrived. We have young grandchildren and it was only that I spotted it which prevented them from walking in it. The lawn looked like it hadnt been mowed for weeks. The cushions on the sunbeds had not been put away during the rain before we arrived so they were impossible to use during our stay. I would say cleanliness in the whole house was not as good as it should have been
Great house in a great location. The hosts were really helpful
The property is in a great location. Ideal for places to eat, shops and pubs. The beach is around a 15min walk, however there is quite a hill. The property was as advertised but could do with the finishing touches being applied. For example the canopy missing on the gazebo, marks on paint workfloor and up keep of some furniture. The property was clean, but again attention to detail required in areas. In all we had a great week in the property.
We've sadly left your beautiful holiday home it's bin amazing what a great house you have . In all the years we've bin coming it's bin the best one by far ,we've now found our new go to place in Anglesey ,thanks take care
This is a lovely property in a great location for walks beach and travel around Anglesey. The facilities are outstanding. Would definitely recommend this property for everything including value for money.
A lovely welcoming cottage with everything you could wish for, we will certainly come back
Carmel
Returned to this property after a visit last year. Love this cottage. It had everything we needed and in a superb location.
Rachel
Lovely place to stay in a great location, walking distance to the beach. The hot tub was lovely although after 4 days it started to smell and the water became merky as no one had been to maintain it. Which resulted in my husband having to empty it via buckets and refill it. Kitchen well equipped, plenty of board games for those rainy days. TVs in every room. Washing machine very handy although dryer didn't seem to work.
Lesley
Had a lovely week. The property was very comfortable, in a great location.
Gary Trevor

We were very worried as previous reviews we not great however, Big Azzles is a lovely property, with everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home and make our stay special. On arrival we had been left a lovely welcome gift and milk, tea and coffee which was really appreciated. there is plenty of outside furniture, mirrors and lamps so really don't know what the previous reviewers are about?? downstairs shower is really convenient for kids getting back from the beach and before & after going in hot tub.the hot tub was great with mood lighting which was lovely in the evenings and easy to control. Tv's in all bedrooms and plenty of wardrobe, draw space in each room with a sea view from one of the bedrooms kitchen area was lovely and well equiped again with TV. Utility has a washerdryer, iron & hoover . lounge had dining table, coffee table, sofa and reclining chair, tv we took our Alexia for music which was easily connected to the wifi. We had a wonderful holiday and would like to thank the owner and cleaners for a comfortable stay we will return!!!! Nock Family
We loved Big Azzles. We have been going to benllech for 15 years and love the area including red wharf bay. Perfect location only 15 mins walk to benllech beach and 5 mins to the local shop and pub. We parked 2 cars easily outside, and the other 2 houses had 2 cars each too and we found there enough space. The beds were comfy, we slept really well. We extended our stay by 1 night we loved it that much. The hot tub was fab, and we had a little sea view from the garden, as well as a sea view from the back bedroom. Kitchen well equipped and was lovely to have a bottle left on arrival for us and some milk on the fridge. Everything you need for a relaxing stay in benllech. Cant wait to go back!
Outside furniture not up to standard. Grass would really be better if upgraded to artificial.
Great location . House a bit scruffy round the edges. Smoky oven that needs cleaning
On first look wonderful property but there is a lot of work that need to be done ... On first look wonderful property but there is a lot of work that need to be done a big crack in the wall back bedroom that faces the garden crack in the family bathroom floor needs some TLC also on our stay the bed broke and we had to fix this ourselves
Louise
WOW What a fantastic property, it has everything you need and more with the added bonus of a hot tub. The owner has clearly rectified all the past negative remarks. The beach is only a short walk down the road which is also fantastic for dog walkers and our 2 dogs loved having a run on it. There are lovely places to go and eat close by which we recommend as well. We will definitely be going back as its one the best holiday cottages we have been to and will recommend it to our family and friends.
Nicola
We had a fantastic week over new year at this lovely property in a fantastic location with everything you needed on your doorstep. Real home from home feel it meet all of our needs and more with the hot tub, log fire, comfortable beds and modern style we had everything we needed. I was worried given previous feedback but majority of the previous comments have been addressed and we had no complaints at all. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and hope to return soon
Brilliant stay at this lovely house. Kitchen well equipped contrary to other reviews, comfy beds, with nice bedding. Hot tub an added bonus. Lovely touch by the owner of having Christmas presents left for each of our group under the Christmas tree. House within easy walking distance of local shops, pub, restaurants and takeaways. Just a bit further down a hill is the lovely Benllech bay. Highly recommended will be definitely returning for another short break.
